How many copies has the BioShock franchise sold?

That makes the 25-million figure a historical milestone rather than the latest total. In May 2015, GameSpot reported that Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick said the franchise had sold more than 25 million copies. GamesBeat also reported that milestone, attributing it to GameSpot. How many copies did BioShock Infinite sell?
The 2015 report put BioShock Infinite at 11 million copies sold. That is a historical figure attributed to Zelnick in GameSpot’s coverage; the May 2023 investor presentation gives no newer Infinite-only total. The franchise’s near-42-million figure cannot be used to calculate sales for this game.

The 2015 statements were reported by GameSpot; they are not presented here as independently verified transcript quotations. GameSpot’s report also identifies the main-series release sequence: BioShock (2007), BioShock 2 (2010), and BioShock Infinite (2013).
Zelnick described BioShock as “a really important intellectual property for the company” and said, “And while I don’t have any announcements to make, yes, it’s a really important franchise for us,” according to GameSpot’s May 28, 2015 report.
