No. 05/2025) on 23 September 2025 and its online application link on 25 September—not 26 September. As of 8 October 2026, this recruitment is no longer at the application stage; later notices include a PET postponement and a mains-exam cancellation. What the official dates confirm
The recruitment is for Police Sub-Inspector selection in Bihar’s Home (Police) Department under Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission (BPSSC) Advt. No. 05/2025. BPSSC’s notices index gives two distinct dates:

- 23 September 2025: the advertisement is listed.
- 25 September 2025: the online application link is listed.
The index does not support the headline claim that the link opened on 26 September. These are listing dates; the accessible index does not establish the full application window, closing date, or any extension. For the controlling notice and subsequent updates, use the BPSSC official notices index.
Current status as of 8 October 2026
This is a historical recruitment announcement, not an open application opportunity. BPSSC’s index records a preliminary result in March 2026, a mains result in June, PET-related notices in August, and a mains written-exam cancellation notice dated 23 September 2026. It also lists a PET postponement notice dated 28 August 2026. The index does not establish the reason for the cancellation or a replacement date, so do not assume either.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesBecause later notices can supersede earlier schedules, candidates should read the current notice directly on BPSSC’s site rather than rely on the original 2025 dates or unofficial summaries. The index also lists a rebuttal concerning fake news on 21 September 2026; without its text, no further claim about that rebuttal is warranted.

The advertisement PDF is the authoritative source for vacancy counts, age limits, education requirements, category rules, application fees, and the exam scheme. Those particulars should not be inferred from the index, and a reliable transcription is not available here. Check the applicable advertisement and the newest BPSSC notice before making decisions or relying on figures repeated elsewhere.
For preparation, compare any study material with BPSSC’s official SI syllabus resource and the applicable advertisement. A “latest” label on a book or practice set is not a substitute for checking that its topics match the official syllabus.
