Ask for the MOQ and schedule for your exact garment, fabric, colors, size breakdown, and quantity. Have the written schedule specify whether it begins at sample approval or another milestone, what it includes, and whether shipping time is separate.

- Contracting party and production location: What legal entity will sign the contract, and where will this order be physically produced? Is production in an owned facility or a partner factory, and can the facility and any subcontracting arrangement be documented?
- MOQ and development quantities: What is the minimum for this exact garment, fabric, color, and size ratio? Are sample or development quantities separate?
- Full costs: What do samples, revisions, patterns, grading, labels, packaging, freight, duties, and inspection cost? Which charges are included in the quoted unit price?
- Approved specifications: Record fabric composition and weight, color standard, construction details, size tolerances, and trim specifications. Ask which approved sample or document controls production.
- Approvals and quality control: Which sample and production checkpoints require your approval before bulk cutting and shipment? What inspection standard and defect classifications apply, and what remedy is agreed for nonconforming goods?
- Schedule and shipping: What production date and transit estimate apply, who is responsible for shipping and duties, and what happens if production or transit slips?
- Environmental or labor claims: What documentation substantiates any recycled, organic, biodegradable, or ethical-labor claim for the specific materials and facility used in your order?
Before authorizing bulk cutting, request a pre-production sample and a written approval process. Make sure the contract or purchase order records the final specifications, tolerances, inspection terms, defect remedy, schedule, and shipping responsibilities.
