Who is Antony Turner?
BlockDAG Network’s profile describes Turner as the project’s CEO and says he entered crypto in 2018 by co-founding SwissOne Capital. The profile also refers to earlier fintech, crypto and investment roles. Those are claims in a project-published biography; the available material does not independently verify his résumé.
In a July 2024 promotional interview published by BlockDAG, Turner said: “We’re not just building a network; we’re building a movement. It’s about creating a space where every voice matters and every idea can spark change.” That is his statement in the project interview, not independent evidence about BlockDAG’s performance or leadership.
Is Antony Turner still CEO of BlockDAG?
The project’s official properties conflict. BlockDAG Network attributes the CEO role to Turner, while the BlockDAG.com homepage names Nicolaas David van den Bergh as CEO and founder. Without a dated corporate filing or a clear, current announcement resolving the discrepancy, it is not possible to state confidently which person currently holds the formal role. The careful description is that BlockDAG Network identifies Turner as CEO.

The connection established here is Turner’s reported co-founding of SwissOne Capital in 2018, as described in BlockDAG Network’s biography. The available information does not independently confirm his role or provide enough detail to make broader claims about the firm’s history, operations or status.
What is BlockDAG?
BlockDAG presents itself as a Layer-1 network combining Proof of Work (PoW) with a Directed Acyclic Graph (DAG) structure. It also claims EVM compatibility and promotes mining as a way to participate. Those descriptions explain the project’s intended design; they do not, by themselves, demonstrate security, decentralization, throughput or an advantage over another network.

BlockDAG’s development page lists an approximate launch capacity of 2,000 transactions per second. That is a project roadmap claim, not an independently measured benchmark, and should not be read as verified real-world performance.
Is BlockDAG live?
BlockDAG’s mainnet page presents a sequence of milestones as completed: mainnet activation on 10 February 2026, token generation on 11 February 2026, and exchange milestones in March 2026. In contrast, the project FAQ describes final launch execution and mainnet and listing activity as milestones still ahead. The official pages therefore give inconsistent impressions of launch completion. Their statements alone do not independently confirm the network’s operational status or the completion of every listed milestone.

Can BlockDAG really outperform SHIB or XRP?
There is not enough evidence here to rank BlockDAG against SHIB or XRP. The available material contains no head-to-head methodology, comparable measurements, or independent comparative results. A claim of superiority is incomplete unless it specifies what “outperform” means and compares the same measures over the same period.
- Network design and purpose: Compare the actual networks and intended uses, not just project descriptions.
- Usage and adoption: Use consistent definitions and time periods for activity, applications and developer participation.
- Technical performance: Compare independently measured throughput, finality, fees, uptime and security assumptions.
- Market outcomes: Compare market capitalization, liquidity, volatility and exchange access at the same stated timestamp.
- Delivery and governance: Check dated evidence of leadership, shipped milestones, audits and ongoing development. BlockDAG’s conflicting leadership and launch-status pages make this especially relevant.
No current market data or comparable primary sources for SHIB and XRP are established here. BlockDAG’s reported past fundraising also cannot resolve the performance question: a 2024 BlockDAG interview said the project had raised more than $62 million in presale at that time. That is a historical, project-reported figure—not a current fundraising total, valuation or measure of network quality.
