BlockDAG’s much-repeated $10 target for 2025 was an unverified forecast, not a confirmed outcome or established market consensus. Its deadline has passed, and the available evidence does not establish that BDAG reached $10. Nor does it establish a dependable current BDAG price, circulating supply, or market capitalization. Bitcoin and Ethereum’s reported 2025 highs are historical context, not proof of current market instability or a basis for validating BlockDAG’s target.
Where the $10-by-2025 claim came from
The phrasing circulated before the deadline: an April 2024 Reddit headline said “BlockDAG Targets $10 by 2025.” A separate 2025 prediction document included an optimistic range of $10 to $15. The available passages do not identify a reliable forecaster or explain a method, so neither source establishes that $10 was an expert consensus or a well-supported forecast.
Because 2025 has ended, the target is now a historical prediction, not a future price objective. The evidence available here does not establish whether BDAG reached $10 at any point. That is different from proving it did or did not: a headline or prediction is not a record of trading, and there is no dependable price history here to settle the question.
What a $10 price target would need to show
A token price by itself says little about whether a target is plausible. The implied market capitalization depends on how many tokens are circulating at the relevant time:

Implied market capitalization = token price × circulating token supply.
At a $10 target, the calculation would be $10 multiplied by the circulating BDAG supply on the date the target was meant to apply. A useful forecast would disclose its supply assumptions and explain how the implied valuation compares with the project’s adoption, liquidity, and risks. The sources behind the $10–$15 estimate do not establish those inputs or provide a method that can be checked.

Even a correctly calculated market capitalization would not guarantee that buyers could trade at the quoted price. Thin liquidity, limited trading venues, or a large gap between quoted and executable prices can affect what holders can actually sell for.
Bitcoin and Ethereum in 2025: historical context, not a current volatility reading
Bitwise Investments’ 2025 retrospective reports that Bitcoin and Ethereum reached new all-time highs during that year, giving figures of $126,080 for Bitcoin and $4,946 for Ethereum. Those are retrospective historical claims, not current prices. The same retrospective mentions an October volatility event; it does not establish that BTC or ETH markets are unstable now, in October 2026.

Comparing a newer project with Bitcoin or Ethereum also requires care. These assets differ in maturity, market history, liquidity, and the quality and availability of market data. A meaningful comparison should use the same dates and source basis for returns, volatility, liquidity, and supply. The evidence available here does not provide a current, comparable set of figures for BDAG, BTC, and ETH.
What BlockDAG reports about its project and launch
BlockDAG describes itself as a proof-of-work layer-one project using a directed acyclic graph (DAG) structure. Claims on the project’s own site about speed, security, or technical superiority should be treated as project claims unless independent evidence substantiates them.

The project’s mainnet page reports a mainnet date of 10 February 2026, a token generation event on 11 February, and exchange listings beginning in March. The project names LBank, BitMart, and Coinstore among trading venues. These are statements by BlockDAG, not independently confirmed milestones in the evidence available here.
Project pages also give conflicting signals about status: one promotes a live presale, while other material says the presale ended or describes launch execution as ongoing. That inconsistency makes a categorical claim about the current presale or launch status unsafe without a dated, authoritative update and independent confirmation. Likewise, an exchange name on a project page is not by itself proof of a live BDAG market, a particular trading pair, or availability in every jurisdiction.

What to verify before relying on a BDAG valuation
For a current valuation or comparison, look for dated, independently checkable information rather than relying on a price target or project announcement alone. In particular, establish:
- Price and trading history: a timestamped quote and trade data from a venue where BDAG can actually be traded.
- Supply and valuation: circulating supply for the same date as the quote, plus the resulting market capitalization. Check how the source defines circulating supply.
- Liquidity: trading volume and market depth, not just the last reported price; confirm the venue, pair, and jurisdiction.
- Project status: independently corroborated evidence for mainnet operation, token generation, and any claimed exchange listings.
- Forecast assumptions: a named author, publication date, method, time horizon, and supply assumptions. Without these, a target cannot be meaningfully assessed.
No dependable current BDAG price, circulating supply, or market capitalization is established in the information available for this article. Treat any live quote or new target as a separate claim to verify, not as an update implied by the historical $10 headline.
Mining hardware claims are not a return guarantee
BlockDAG’s website describes X10, X30, and X100 miners as being shipped. That project-reported statement does not establish third-party verification of shipment, hardware compatibility, or mining profitability. The available evidence also does not establish that a generic ASIC miner will work with BlockDAG. Do not infer compatibility or a likely return from a product name, shipment claim, or generic mining listing.
