Cheese is no longer just planning an Australian arrival: its first Australian venue has opened in Joondalup, near Perth. The US family-entertainment brand partnered with Perth-based Royale Hospitality Group, with the deal first reported in January 2024. The Australian venue combines arcade games and indoor play attractions with dining and birthday parties.
Who brought Chuck E. Cheese to Australia?
Chuck E. Cheese partnered with Royale Hospitality Group, a Perth-based hospitality company associated with Milky Lane, Planet Royale and Outback Jacks, according to PerthNow. The partnership was reported on 16 January 2024, when the companies were scouting locations for the brand’s first Australian venue.
The announcement establishes the local partner, but the available reporting does not state the agreement’s duration, whether it is exclusive, the investment amount, or a timetable for additional Australian sites.
Where is the first Australian location?
The first venue is in Joondalup, a suburb north of central Perth in Western Australia. In March 2025, PerthNow reported that the first site would be in Western Australia, while noting that its exact location had not yet been announced. Chuck E. Cheese Australia now lists the Joondalup venue, and CEC Entertainment CEO David McKillips announced its opening. The Australian site lists the address as 3/7 Winton Road, Joondalup.

What can visitors do at Chuck E. Cheese Joondalup?
The Australian venue is a family entertainment centre with food, rather than simply a quick-service restaurant. Its official site promotes arcade games, an indoor Adventure Zone playground, a climbing wall, a restaurant, birthday parties and other attractions. PerthNow’s March 2025 report also described planned multi-level play zones and an interactive dance floor.
CEC Entertainment’s international franchise page describes the broader brand format as combining activities, food, celebrations and entertainment. It reports 570+ locations in 16 countries and territories and 1.5+ billion gameplays annually. Those are company-reported global figures, not counts or gameplay statistics for the Australian venue.
