The Aston Martin Valour is a 110-car anniversary special pairing a 715 PS twin-turbo V12 with a six-speed manual. It is an unusually analogue-leaning modern Aston, but the familiar “$2 million” figure is not confirmed by the manufacturer: Aston Martin’s 2023 launch materials do not state that price, while Car and Driver reported launch pricing of over $1 million. Neither establishes a particular car’s current value.
What is the Aston Martin Valour?
Aston Martin announced the Valour on 11 July 2023 to mark the company’s 110th anniversary, limiting production to 110 examples worldwide. The launch release described it as a front-engined V12 manual sports car. Production at Gaydon was scheduled to begin in the third quarter of 2023, with first deliveries planned for the fourth quarter; those were launch-era plans, not confirmation of any individual car’s production or delivery status. Its central appeal is the combination of a large, powerful engine and a driver-operated manual gearbox in a limited-run car with modern chassis and braking hardware. Aston Martin Executive Chairman Lawrence Stroll called it “a celebration of Aston Martin’s passion for driving and extraordinary heritage,” while Director of Vehicle Performance Simon Newton said pairing the V12 with a manual was important to preserving its “driver-pleasing character.”
How much power does the Valour make, and is it a manual?
The Valour has a front-mounted 5.2-litre twin-turbocharged V12 rated by Aston Martin at 715 PS and 753 Nm of torque. It drives the rear wheels through a bespoke six-speed manual gearbox and a mechanical limited-slip differential. Aston Martin’s Valour model page and its Valour brochure provide the manufacturer’s specifications.

Aston Martin also lists electronic traction and stability controls and Sport, Sport+ and Track modes. Its brochure characterizes the torque delivery as virtually flat in second gear from 1,800 to 7,000 rpm; that is the manufacturer’s description, not an independent test result. The 715 PS rating is a metric horsepower figure, not the same unit as US mechanical horsepower.
What inspired the Valour’s design?
Aston Martin points to the original V8 Vantage and the Vantage-based RHAM/1 “Muncher,” its 1980 Le Mans racer, as design influences. The company also connects the Valour to the one-off Victor, and compares some styling details with the One-77. Design Director Miles Nurnberger described the car as “gloriously unapologetic; an old-school brute refined and reimagined through the lens of 2023.”

The exterior combines full carbon-fibre bodywork with round LED headlights, a Kamm-style tail, rear “exoblades” intended to generate vortices, and a lightweight triple exhaust, according to Aston Martin. Inside, the two-seat cockpit puts the manual shift mechanism at its center. The company describes gear-knob options including machined aluminium, titanium, carbon fibre and walnut, alongside possible cabin materials such as tweed, cashmere and tinted carbon fibre. These are personalization choices, not a claim that all 110 cars share one specification.
What chassis, brake and tire hardware does it use?
The Valour is a front-engine, rear-wheel-drive car with bespoke suspension calibration, adaptive dampers, springs and anti-roll bars, dedicated alignment settings and additional body bracing, as described in Aston Martin’s launch specifications.

For replacement tires, confirm the exact Valour fitment and current availability with an Aston Martin dealer or tire specialist; the factory size alone does not establish that a particular tire is in stock or appropriate for every individual car.
How much does the Aston Martin Valour cost?
The $2 million figure in the familiar headline is not substantiated as the Valour’s official price by Aston Martin’s launch release, brochure or model page. Car and Driver’s 11 July 2023 launch report said the limited-run cars were priced at “over $1 million” each. That secondary report does not establish an exact original price, the price of a particular car with options, or today’s resale value. Car and Driver’s launch report

For a personal-finance decision, treat the reported launch figure and any asking price for an individual example as different things. A current transaction price depends on the specific car and sale; the available manufacturer materials do not provide a present-day valuation or confirm current inventory.

Aston Martin set the global production run at 110 examples. The company offered personalization through Q by Aston Martin, including material and finish choices for the cabin. Those options make a car’s specification individual; they do not establish that every requested finish was selected or that any particular Valour remains available to buy. Aston Martin’s model page describes the car as “a modern icon that fuses classic character with contemporary execution”; it does not display a date alongside that statement.
