Apple Support’s September 23 page identifies its APY reference date but the retrieved text does not state a numeric rate. Apple’s APY is variable: its disclosure says the rate may change before or after an account is opened. Treat any published percentage as a dated snapshot, not a guaranteed return for the life of the account. Apple also says maximum balance limits apply; review the current Deposit Account Agreement for the applicable terms.

Who provides Apple Savings, and who can apply?
Apple Card Savings is provided by Goldman Sachs Bank USA, Salt Lake City Branch, Member FDIC. Apple is not the deposit-account provider. Eligible Apple Card owners and co-owners must apply and meet eligibility requirements. Setting up Savings requires an eligible device running current iOS or iPadOS and is done through Wallet. Apple says the account is unavailable in Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, and U.S. Minor Outlying Islands.
Savings can receive Daily Cash automatically, and Apple says customers can also add money from linked accounts or Apple Cash. Apple’s April 2023 launch announcement said there were no fees, no minimum deposit, and no minimum balance requirements at launch. Those were launch terms; consult the current Deposit Account Agreement for present fees, minimums, and balance limits.

How to check the rate and move money
- Check APY: Open Wallet on an eligible device and select Apple Card Savings to view the account information and current rate.
- Set the destination for Daily Cash: In Wallet, open Apple Card Savings settings and choose where future Daily Cash is deposited. Apple Support explains the available controls and account management steps at Apple Card Savings account support.
- Transfer funds out: Use the Savings controls in Wallet to transfer money to a linked external bank account or Apple Cash. Apple Support says external-bank transfers typically take 1–3 business days; external-bank processing, transfer limits, and security checks can affect when funds are available.
Does Chase’s Apple Card transition change the Savings provider?
Not based on Apple’s announcement. On January 7, 2026, Apple said Chase would become Apple Card’s issuer in a transition expected to take approximately 24 months. The announcement said customers could continue to access Savings and identified Goldman Sachs Bank USA as the Savings provider. It describes a planned future credit-card issuer transition, not a completed transfer of the deposit account to Chase.

Do not compare APYs without matching the date and account terms. Check the current rate, whether it is variable, eligibility rules, fees, minimums and balance caps, transfer timing, and any promotional conditions.
