The $14 million figure was its initial asking price in March 2025—not its sale price. The available reporting says the couple planned to move closer to their son’s school, but does not establish that their divorce caused the listing or sale.
What happened to Amy Schumer’s $14 million home?
The property, at 19 Cranberry Street in Brooklyn Heights, was listed for $14 million in March 2025. Realtor.com reported a $1.25 million reduction in July, bringing the asking price to $12.75 million. The Real Deal later reported that public records showed a December 2025 sale for $11 million.
| Transaction point | Reported amount | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Purchase in 2022 | $12.25 million | Price reported by Realtor.com: Realtor.com |
| Initial asking price, March 2025 | $14 million | Listing price reported by Realtor.com, not a completed sale price: Realtor.com |
| Reduced asking price, July 2025 | $12.75 million | After a reported $1.25 million cut: Realtor.com |
| Reported sale, December 2025 | $11 million | Sale price reported by The Real Deal based on public records: The Real Deal |
These figures describe different stages of the transaction, so the original ask, reduced ask, and reported sale price are not conflicting numbers. The reported sale price is $1.25 million below the couple’s reported 2022 purchase price. That is only a nominal price difference; it does not account for broker fees, closing costs, property taxes, maintenance, financing, renovations, or the time value of money.
Was the sale connected to the divorce?
The available reports do not establish that the divorce caused the townhouse to be listed or sold. Realtor.com reported that Schumer and Fischer planned to move back to Manhattan to be nearer their son’s school. Schumer described the commute as a factor, saying: “He got into a good school and we’re too lazy to commute 45 minutes to take our son to school every day.” That is the couple’s reported explanation for the move, not proof of every consideration behind the sale.

What was the Brooklyn Heights property like?
The Real Deal described 19 Cranberry Street as a four-story, five-bedroom townhouse built in 1829 and associated with the 1987 film Moonstruck. Realtor.com described the home as roughly 5,500 square feet; that approximate size is attributed to its coverage, not an independently verified measurement here. In July, Schumer characterized the large home as “a home that is just ready for more people,” in remarks reported by Realtor.com.

A sale below the reported purchase price does not by itself establish the owners’ overall financial result. The $1.25 million nominal gap compares only the reported 2022 purchase price and the reported 2025 sale price. It says nothing on its own about costs paid while owning the property, any capital improvements, tax treatment, or the owners’ financing. Nor does the gap explain why the home sold at that price.
