Its launch announcement described pantry staples, launch-era prices mostly below $5, and an extra discount for Prime members—but those prices and savings are not confirmed as current offers.
What is Amazon Saver?
Amazon Saver is Amazon’s budget-focused private-label food range. At launch, Amazon called it a “new no-frills brand” intended to help grocery budgets go further. The announcement positioned it within Amazon Fresh’s grocery offering, available online and in Amazon Fresh stores at that time. Amazon’s September 10, 2024 announcement quoted Claire Peters, worldwide vice president of Amazon Fresh, saying the company was looking to make grocery shopping “easier, faster, and more affordable.”
Amazon’s later framing indicates the brand remained part of its grocery portfolio: in an October 1, 2025 announcement introducing Amazon Grocery, the company described Amazon Saver as its budget-friendly private-label range. That release also said Amazon customers purchased 15% more private-brand products in 2024 than in 2023 across Amazon.com, Whole Foods Market, and Amazon Fresh. That statistic is about Amazon private brands overall, not Amazon Saver alone.
What does Amazon Saver sell?
The September 2024 launch examples included crackers, cookies, canned fruit, and condiments—everyday pantry products rather than a specialized food category. Amazon said it was starting with several products and planned to add more than 100 items over time. The announcement did not give a timetable for that expansion. Grocery Dive’s launch coverage likewise reported the planned expansion without a schedule.

How much do Amazon Saver products cost?
At launch, Amazon said most Amazon Saver items were priced under $5 and that Prime members could receive an additional 10% off. These are figures from the September 2024 announcement, not verified current prices or a standing discount. Prices, promotions, and eligibility can change, so check the listing or shelf price for the specific item before budgeting around a deal. Amazon’s announcement is the source for the launch-era claims.
A low sticker price does not necessarily mean the best value. When comparing Amazon Saver with another store brand, compare the same or similar product and package size, then check the current unit price, ingredient and nutrition information, and whether it is available where you shop.

No. Amazon announced the brand on September 10, 2024. Its October 2025 announcement continued to identify Amazon Saver as the budget-friendly option in Amazon’s private-label grocery portfolio, alongside the newly introduced Amazon Grocery brand. The “is releasing” phrasing describes the original launch, not a new 2026 release.
