The right choice depends on whether you need help recovering from identity theft, alerts intended to flag possible threats, or both. The displayed monthly prices retrieved October 7, 2026, run from $3 for individual Identity Restoration to $19 for individual Blue; family prices range from $6 to $36. These are Allstate’s advertised prices and features, not results of independent service testing.
What does Allstate Identity Protection include?
Allstate defines identity protection as monitoring personal information and alerting members to possible threats, such as someone applying for credit in their name. Identity restoration is help responding after fraud has occurred, such as disputing charges and initiating reimbursement. The distinction matters: the company says its lowest-cost Identity Restoration plan does not include protection features, so it should not be mistaken for a monitoring plan.
Allstate’s personal-plan page lists four tiers. The prices below are the company’s displayed monthly prices retrieved October 7, 2026; they can change, so confirm the checkout price and terms when enrolling. Family plans on that page cover the subscriber plus up to 10 members, subject to the plan’s exact eligibility rules.
| Plan | Individual / family monthly price | Listed features and maximum benefits |
|---|---|---|
| Identity Restoration | $3 / $6 | Restoration tracker, U.S.-based 24/7 support, full-service restoration and $25,000 identity-theft expense coverage. No protection features. |
| Essentials | $9.99 / $18.99 | One-bureau credit monitoring, identity monitoring, identity fraud finder, privacy management and full-service restoration; $1 million identity-theft expense coverage and $50,000 stolen-funds reimbursement. |
| Premier | $17.99 / $34.99 | Essentials-level features plus listed credit reports, scores and tracker; transaction monitoring for cards and bank accounts; social-media monitoring; $1 million identity-theft expense coverage and $500,000 stolen-funds reimbursement. |
| Blue | $19 / $36 | Three-bureau credit monitoring and reports, device cybersecurity, $1 million identity-theft expense coverage, $1 million stolen-funds reimbursement and up to $1 million 401(k)/HSA reimbursement. |
These plan descriptions and limits are Allstate’s claims. Features and benefits may require activation and are subject to applicable terms; a maximum benefit is not a guaranteed payment.

Which plan might fit your needs?
Choose Identity Restoration if you want recovery assistance only
This tier is positioned for someone seeking assistance after identity theft rather than ongoing monitoring. It lists a restoration tracker, full-service restoration and support, but no alerts or other protection features. If you want to be notified about potential misuse before or while it develops, compare a monitoring tier instead.
Consider Essentials for basic monitoring and restoration
Essentials lists one-bureau credit monitoring, identity monitoring and privacy management alongside restoration help. It also lists identity-theft expense coverage and a separate stolen-funds reimbursement limit. Check which credit bureau is monitored and what the policy treats as eligible losses before deciding that its limits meet your needs.
Consider Premier if account transactions and social media matter
Premier adds monitoring of card and bank-account transactions, social-media monitoring, and credit reports, scores and a tracker according to Allstate’s plan description. Those additions may be relevant if you want a wider set of alerts than credit-file monitoring alone. The advertised reimbursement amounts remain subject to policy terms.
Consider Blue for three-bureau monitoring and device features
Blue lists monitoring and reports from all three credit bureaus, device cybersecurity, and additional stated reimbursement categories for stolen funds and 401(k)/HSA losses. Review activation requirements and the governing terms for each benefit; the headline figures describe maximums, not automatic coverage for every incident.

Identity fraud is the unauthorized use of someone’s personal information to impersonate them or obtain money, credit, services or other benefits. Examples can include applying for credit in another person’s name or misusing an account. Monitoring services aim to identify signals of potential misuse; an alert is not by itself proof that fraud occurred, and not every form of misuse will necessarily be detected.
Allstate’s feature page presents figures of $43 billion in losses to identity fraud and related scams in 2022 and 40 million U.S. adults experiencing identity fraud in some form that year. The retrieved page text did not identify the original source behind those statistics, so they should be treated as figures presented by Allstate, not independently verified estimates here.
How do the 30-day trial, renewal and cancellation work?
Allstate’s personal page says a credit card is required to enroll in its 30-day trial and that the subscriber is not charged during the trial. Unless canceled, eligible Essentials, Premier and Blue subscriptions automatically renew at the displayed monthly prices. The company also says annual savings are offered, but not for Identity Restoration. Verify the enrollment channel’s checkout details and terms because availability and renewal terms can vary.
Allstate lists three cancellation routes:
- Sign in and cancel through account settings.
- Call 1-855-821-2331.
- Email [email protected].
Keep a record of the cancellation request and any confirmation, and check the account for the effective cancellation date so you can verify that renewal has stopped.

What do the reimbursement limits actually promise?
The advertised identity-theft expense, stolen-funds and account-related reimbursement limits are separate benefit categories, not a single pot of money available for any loss. Allstate’s FAQ search-result text says certain expenses must result directly from confirmed identity theft. It identifies American Bankers Insurance Company of Florida, an Assurant company, as underwriter and administrator of the benefit described there, and directs members to the policy and summary of benefits for conditions and exclusions. The FAQ excerpt also says availability may vary by jurisdiction.
The FAQ page and underlying policy were not available for review here, so the complete covered-loss definitions, exclusions and state-specific terms cannot be confirmed from that excerpt alone. Before relying on a benefit, read the policy and summary of benefits issued for your enrollment, including eligibility, documentation, limits, deductibles if any, and claim requirements. A plan’s advertised maximum is a cap subject to those terms—not a promise that a claim will be reimbursed up to that amount.
What is established about the service—and what is not?
The available product materials establish what Allstate advertises for its consumer plans, along with some enrollment and benefit language. They do not establish how reliably the service detects fraud, how quickly restoration cases are resolved, or whether it outperforms competitors. No independent testing or representative customer-satisfaction evidence is established by these materials, so the plan features should not be read as proof of service effectiveness.
Allstate’s August 5, 2026 article describes certain new Pro+ and Pro+ Cyber features and calls 2027 additions such as a Scam Safety Center, 24/7 human chat and personalized onboarding upcoming. Those statements concern separate named offerings and future plans; they do not establish that those features are included in the consumer Essentials, Premier or Blue tiers reviewed here.
