In May 2011, Kris Humphries proposed to Kardashian at her Beverly Hills home. CBS News reported that the ring was a 20.5-carat diamond by jeweler Lorraine Schwartz. Kardashian told People, as quoted by CBS, “I didn’t expect this at all.” CBS News’s report gives the reported total weight; ABC News described the design as an emerald-cut center diamond flanked by two 2-carat trapezoid diamonds. 2013: Kanye West’s 15-carat proposal ring
In October 2013, Kanye West proposed at San Francisco’s AT&T Park with a Lorraine Schwartz diamond ring. CBS News described it as 15 carats and square-cut. CBS News Vogue later described the stone more specifically as cushion-cut, D color, and flawless. 2016: A reported 20-carat upgrade
Marie Claire reported that West gave Kardashian a 20-carat upgrade in 2016, separate from the 2013 proposal ring. The publication also reported that the upgrade was stolen during the Paris robbery that year.
