The application window is no longer open. The recruitment covered district-court staff posts across Uttar Pradesh, not only jobs at the Allahabad High Court headquarters.
What the recruitment covered
The Allahabad High Court’s October 2024 abridged advertisement grouped the posts into four categories:
- Stenographer Grade-III
- Group C clerical cadre: Junior Assistant and paid apprentice
- Driver Grade-IV
- Group D cadre: tube-well operator-cum-electrician; process server; orderly, peon, office peon or farrash; chowkidar, waterman, sweeper, mali, coolie, bhisti or liftman; and sweeper-cum-farrash
These were posts for Uttar Pradesh district courts. The detailed advertisement, rather than the abridged notice, is the authority for complete eligibility conditions and post-specific requirements.
Application dates and fees
The online application link was active from 4 October through 24 October 2024. Candidates could apply for more than one post, but had to file a separate application and pay the examination fee separately for each post. The abridged notice listed these fees; bank charges were extra:

Eligibility depended on the post
The abridged advertisement gave an age range of 18–40 years as of 1 July 2024 for the posts shown. It also summarized different minimum qualifications by role. For example, Group C clerical posts required Intermediate, a NIELIT CCC certificate, and Hindi/English computer-typing skills; Driver Grade-IV required High School and a qualifying four-wheeler driving licence. Group D schooling or technical-certificate requirements varied by role. Category rules and all other conditions should be checked in the detailed advertisement; the abbreviated examples are not a complete eligibility checklist.
Examination and selection stages
The stated process began with a post-wise offline written examination on OMR sheets. Depending on the post, candidates could then be required to take a Hindi or English computer-typing test, Hindi or English stenography test, or technical driving test. The detailed advertisement also set out examination instructions, including admit-card and identity-document requirements.

Vacancy figures changed after the initial notice
The original October 2024 abridged advertisement and the High Court’s later final-results notice report different vacancy counts. The later figures are updated totals, not a correction that should be silently blended into the original announcement.
| Posts | October 2024 abridged advertisement | April 2025 final-results notice |
|---|---|---|
| Junior Assistant | 932 | 1,175 |
| Paid apprentice | 122 | 146 |
| Group C clerical total | 1,054 | Not stated as a combined total; the notice lists the two roles separately |
| Group D | 1,639 | 1,700 |
| Hindi Stenographer Grade-III | Not stated in the cited October abridged-notice figures | 519 |
| English Stenographer Grade-III | Not stated in the cited October abridged-notice figures | 63 |
| Driver Grade-IV | Not stated in the cited October abridged-notice figures | 33 |
The later counts are from the High Court’s 16 April 2025 final-results notice. They describe updated vacancies, not necessarily the number of appointments ultimately completed.
Results and scorecards
The High Court declared Stage-I results on 5 February 2025, based on the final answer keys published that day. It declared final results on 16 April 2025. Both result notices stated that results or candidature were provisional and subject to the outcome of writ petitions.
On 17 October 2025, the High Court posted category- and subcategory-wise cutoffs and scorecards. The notice said scorecards would remain available online for four weeks, through 14 November 2025, and advised candidates to download and retain them because copies would not later be supplied under RTI. That stated online access period has ended. The published notices do not establish whether subsequent court proceedings or appointments have concluded.

What applicants should do now
This 2024–25 recruitment is complete as an application opportunity. Anyone checking an old application or result should rely on official Allahabad High Court notices and the detailed advertisement for the applicable post, rather than treating the historical NTA application page or the original vacancy count as current. For future recruitment, compare the post’s education and technical credentials, typing or stenography requirements, driving licence requirements where relevant, and test stages before applying.
