Abigail Disney’s clearest first-person public estimate of her wealth is about $120 million, stated during 2019 Senate testimony. A 2025 TIME profile also cited an estimate around $120 million, attributing it to The Chronicle of Philanthropy. Neither figure establishes her exact current net worth: no current audited valuation or full accounting of her assets and debts is available in the sources cited here.

What is Abigail Disney’s net worth?

The best-supported public figure is about $120 million. Abigail Disney gave that estimate herself at a Senate Finance Committee hearing on November 20, 2019, while noting that it could be higher or lower depending on the stock market. In 2025, TIME reported an estimate around the same amount and attributed it to The Chronicle of Philanthropy. The later report is a secondary estimate, not a new personal financial disclosure or an audited calculation.

These figures support describing her wealth as estimated at around $120 million in public reporting—not stating that $120 million is her verified net worth today.

What did Abigail Disney say about her wealth?

Responding to Senator Elizabeth Warren during the 2019 hearing, Disney said: “I have about 120 million dollars, maybe more depending on how the stock market is on any given day.” She also characterized its annual growth at the time as “about 4 to 8 percent.” Both numbers are her statements in testimony, not an independently verified account of her assets or a documented investment-return record.

The testimony is a dated, first-person estimate. It should not be projected forward using the stated growth range: the sources do not establish that the same rate continued, nor do they provide the information needed to calculate her present wealth.

How reliable are the public estimates?

Figure Source and date What it establishes
About $120 million Abigail Disney’s Senate testimony, November 20, 2019 A first-person estimate at that time, qualified as sensitive to stock-market changes.
Around $120 million TIME, November 24, 2025, attributing the estimate to The Chronicle of Philanthropy A later secondary estimate, not a first-person disclosure or audited valuation.
Exact current net worth Not stated in the cited sources No current audited figure or full breakdown of assets and liabilities is established.

Net worth is the value of assets minus liabilities. Without a current accounting of both, a reported estimate cannot be treated as a precise balance-sheet figure. The Senate record documents what Disney said; it does not audit the amount. The 2025 report provides a later estimate but does not supply a current personal balance sheet.

Is Abigail Disney’s wealth the same as the Disney family fortune?

No. A figure for Abigail Disney’s personal wealth should not be confused with the wealth of the wider Disney family or with the value of The Walt Disney Company. The Guardian reported in April 2025 that she still owned Disney shares, while also reporting her statement that her holdings did not give her substantial influence over the company. That does not disclose her share count or establish the current market value of her holdings.

What is known about the sources of her wealth?

Her official biography describes her as a filmmaker, writer, philanthropist, and activist. It lists work including The Armor of Light and The American Dream and Other Fairy Tales, and identifies her involvement with Level Forward, Peace is Loud, and the Daphne Foundation. Those biographical details provide context for her public work, but they do not amount to a breakdown of how her wealth is composed or what she currently owns.

In May 2025, the Associated Press reported that the Daphne Foundation had announced it would spend its assets and soon shut down. That is information about the foundation, not a measure of Disney’s personal giving or remaining wealth.
