Where the $300,000 figure comes from
A November 2023 online post pointed readers to an MSN story whose headline said Baldwin had insisted on $300,000 per episode for himself, with his children and Hilaria costing extra. That is a reported pre-series negotiating request—not evidence that TLC accepted the request, that Baldwin signed a contract for that amount, or that he received it.
The underlying MSN article was not directly available in the source material reviewed here. The figure should therefore remain attributed as a reported claim, not presented as an established salary or verified statistic.
What TLC has confirmed—and what it has not
TLC describes The Baldwins as a look at Alec and Hilaria Baldwin’s life with their seven children. Warner Bros. Discovery’s January 27, 2025 announcement identified the family participants and said the series would premiere February 23, 2025. Neither official source published cast compensation or contract terms.

Does the reported amount exclude his family?
The headline’s claim that the reported amount did not include the family does not provide a verified additional figure. No reliable amount for Hilaria or the children is established by the sources above, so there is no supported family-wide per-episode total to calculate.

The children’s reported second-season request does not fill that gap: a joke or anecdote about asking for more money is not evidence of what they were paid.

When the family announced the planned series in June 2024, Alec Baldwin invited viewers into their home “to experience the ups and downs, the good, the bad, the wild and the crazy,” according to the Associated Press. That quote describes the show’s premise, not its compensation arrangements.
