It was not a preassembled meal kit, and the offer period ended December 24, 2025. The sources available do not confirm a 2026 offer.
What did ALDI’s Thanksgiving meal for under $50 include?
ALDI’s October 15, 2025 announcement described groceries for a 14-pound turkey and nine sides, including dessert. The list included:
- Whole turkey and chicken broth
- Condensed cream of mushroom soup, evaporated milk, two cans of cut green beans, and French fried onions for green bean casserole
- Two packages of shells and cheese
- Two stuffing packages, three brown gravy mixes, poultry spices and herbs
- Sweet potatoes, miniature marshmallows, yellow onions, baby carrots, celery, and russet potatoes
- Cranberries, canned pumpkin, pie crust, whipped dairy topping, and Hawaiian sweet rolls
ALDI characterized the resulting menu as turkey, rolls, cranberry sauce, macaroni and cheese, stuffing, mashed potatoes with gravy, sweet potato casserole, green bean casserole, and pumpkin pie. The announcement identifies the foods but does not specify quantities for every item.
How the advertised $40 price worked
The $40 total was ALDI’s estimate for a meal serving 10, based on a 14-pound Jennie-O turkey. That works out to $4 per person using the advertised estimate; it was not a guaranteed checkout total or an independent comparison with other grocers’ Thanksgiving costs.

- Great for roast beef, glazed ham, roasted chicken, roasted vegetables; perfect for serving everyday meals, holidays, parties, and outdoor entertaining
Customers bought the products separately. ALDI said the items were marked on shelf and required no coupon or membership. The company’s fine print said the total could vary depending on product availability and customer selections, and online prices could differ slightly from local in-store prices. WDIV ClickOnDetroit’s November 3, 2025 report also described the offer as an individual grocery shop rather than a bundled meal.
When was the offer available—and is there a 2026 deal?
ALDI listed the offer dates as October 15 through December 24, 2025. Those dates have passed. The available sources do not establish a 2026 price, shopping list, or offer period, so the 2025 $40 estimate should not be treated as a newly announced deal for this year.
