Official AIBE application link and how to use it
The Bar Council of India’s AIBE information page directs candidates to the dedicated examination portal. Open the official AIBE portal rather than relying on an old application link or a third-party page.
- Open the official portal and select the registration option for the current AIBE cycle.
- Register first, as the portal instructs, and retain your login details.
- Log back in to complete the application form and follow the current portal instructions for payment and submission.
- Review the cycle notice and portal schedule before submitting, since the portal currently shows inconsistent schedule entries.
The portal warns: “Do not share your Applicant Login and Password with anyone.”
Which AIBE cycle is open, and what is the deadline?
AIBE XX is a past cycle, not the current application window. The Bar Council of India’s 2025 schedule set 28 October 2025 as the registration deadline, 29 October 2025 as the online payment deadline, 31 October 2025 as the correction deadline, and 30 November 2025 as the scheduled examination date.

The official portal’s detailed schedule lists AIBE XXII registration from 19 August through 27 October 2026. It lists 28 October 2026 for online payment, 30 October 2026 for corrections, and 29 November 2026 for the examination. However, an earlier summary table on the same portal page gives conflicting schedule information. Treat these detailed dates as the portal’s listed schedule, not as a substitute for checking the latest notice before applying.

The eligibility guidance available for AIBE XX is historical and should not be assumed to govern AIBE XXII. For AIBE XX, the Bar Council of India notification said eligible candidates could include final-semester students in three- or five-year LL.B. programs who had no backlogs in earlier semesters; specified graduates awaiting degree conferral; and graduates who had not enrolled with a State Bar Council or had surrendered their enrollment certificate. The notification also required study at a BCI-recognized university or a BCI-approved college affiliated with a recognized university.
Before registering for AIBE XXII, check its own notification and confirm that your course, institution, semester and enrollment status meet the current requirements.
