Why did interest and resale prices rise in 2024?
In July 2024, coverage linked renewed interest in the game to the release of Deadpool & Wolverine. At the same time, the game was no longer available to buy from major digital storefronts, leaving physical resale as the practical option for people who did not already own a digital license. The reports describe these factors together, but do not measure how much either one changed prices or show that the movie alone caused the increase.
ComicBook.com reported on July 28, 2024, that the PS4 edition’s standard resale value had hovered around $40–$50 over the preceding years. That is a dated account of the market at the time, not a current quote or a verified percentage increase. The report also raised the possibility that the surge could be a bubble.

Why is the game hard to buy digitally?
Secondary gaming coverage reported that Deadpool was delisted from PlayStation, Xbox, and PC storefronts in 2017 after licensing agreements ended. According to that coverage, someone who had not already purchased it digitally would need to look for a physical edition on the resale market. - Sale type: Use completed transactions as evidence of what buyers paid; active asking prices show what sellers hope to receive.
- Sealed or graded copies: Compare these with other sealed or graded examples, not with ordinary used discs.
There is no single definitive current price established by the available records. The value of an individual copy depends on its condition, what is included, and comparable completed sales.
