EverFX became an official sponsor and global partner of Sevilla FC in January 2019. The agreement gave the forex and CFD broker visibility around the Spanish club, including reported branding on the front of the first-team shorts, stadium LED boards and Sevilla’s digital channels.
It was a commercial sponsorship—not a naming-rights or principal-shirt deal—and its original financial value was not disclosed. The partnership also needs to be viewed in context: regulators later took action involving EverFX’s associated companies, and Spanish investigators linked the brand to a wider investment-fraud inquiry.
What EverFX’s Sevilla FC deal included
The sponsorship was announced on January 18, 2019, in a contemporary SponsorPitch listing. EverFX issued a separate release on January 23 describing the arrangement as a sponsorship and global partnership with Sevilla FC.
Reports at the time said EverFX’s logo would appear on the front of Sevilla’s first-team shorts, beginning with the club’s match against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu. The agreement also included branding on LED advertising boards at Sevilla’s Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán Stadium and exposure through the club’s online and digital channels.

The initial agreement was reported to run until the end of the 2018–19 season, with an option to extend. Neither the club nor the broker publicly disclosed the fee in the sources reviewed.

It was not Sevilla’s main shirt sponsorship
The wording around the deal matters. EverFX was not verified as Sevilla’s main sponsor, and the available reports do not support calling it a shirt-front sponsor.
In reporting on the 2020–21 renewal, FX News Group described the arrangement as EverFX’s third consecutive season sponsoring the club and specifically said the sponsorship did not include jersey real estate. That coverage identified Marathonbet as the front-of-shirt sponsor and Valvoline as the sleeve sponsor.
There is also a timing distinction in Spain’s regulatory records. The CNMV’s fourth-quarter 2019 bulletin listed Ever FX among Sevilla’s sponsors but marked advertising on sports kit as not applicable for the 2019–20 season. That does not erase the earlier reports of shorts branding in 2019; it indicates that the sponsorship assets differed between periods.
What business was EverFX in?
EverFX presented itself as a broker offering contracts for difference, or CFDs, on forex, metals, commodities and other instruments. It was not accurately described simply as a cryptocurrency exchange.
The business was associated with ICC Intercertus Capital Ltd, a Cyprus investment firm. In 2020, reporting described EverFX as a trade name of ICC Intercertus Capital and referred to the company as regulated by CySEC at that time. That historical description should not be treated as a guarantee that every EverFX entity or service was authorised in every country.
CFDs are leveraged derivatives. A customer does not generally own the underlying currency, commodity or other asset. Instead, the customer speculates on price movements and can lose money quickly, particularly when leverage magnifies a relatively small market move.
Later regulatory action involving EverFX entities
The sponsorship announcement predates several serious regulatory and law-enforcement developments.

- UK action in 2021: On May 26, 2021, the UK Financial Conduct Authority said it had stopped ICC Intercertus Capital and other EverFX group entities from offering or marketing regulated services to UK customers. The FCA cited concerns about misleading promotions, inadequate CFD risk explanations, pressure to deposit more money, instructions about which trades to make and alleged difficulties withdrawing funds. It also said some customers were directed to overseas group entities that were not authorised to provide regulated UK services.
- Cyprus settlement in 2022: On August 10, 2022, CySEC published a €100,000 settlement involving ICC Intercertus Capital. CySEC said it concerned a possible violation, between January 2020 and May 2021, of EU rules and Cyprus restrictions governing the marketing, distribution and sale of CFDs to retail clients. A regulatory settlement is not the same as a criminal conviction.
- Spanish investigation: In December 2022, OCCRP reported that Spanish police arrested a man identified as “Pablo A.” Police allegedly described him as EverFX’s Spanish “team leader.” OCCRP said investigators alleged that the platform took customers’ money without investing it and linked EverFX to a broader network involving 470 investment brands. Those statements were reported investigative and law-enforcement allegations, not a final judicial finding in the OCCRP report.
OCCRP also reported that Sevilla had removed its earlier EverFX press material. The organization said photographs and a promotional video documented the relationship, while a Sevilla spokesperson declined to comment on the allegations.
What investors should take from sports sponsorships
A professional sports partnership can create an impression of scale and credibility, but it is not evidence that a broker is safe, profitable or authorised for a particular customer.
Before depositing money with any forex or CFD provider, a consumer should check the exact legal entity named in the account agreement—not just the brand name—and confirm the entity on the relevant regulator’s register. The key questions include:
- Is the firm authorised to serve customers in your country?
- Does the regulator’s register match the website domain and legal company name?
- What protections apply to client money and complaints?
- Can the broker impose leverage limits or restrictions that differ by jurisdiction?
- What are the withdrawal rules, fees and verification requirements?
- Does the firm pressure customers to deposit more or tell them which trades to place?
Promises of guaranteed returns, urgent requests for additional deposits and unexplained withdrawal delays are warning signs. A club badge, stadium advertisement or “official partner” label does not replace independent due diligence.

Was the deal worth €7 million?
That figure should not be presented as established fact. The reliable contemporary sources reviewed for the partnership did not disclose the sponsorship fee. Unless a primary contract or credible financial filing supports the number, it is safer to state that the value was undisclosed.
Current-status warning
“EverFX becomes Sevilla FC’s latest sponsor” describes the January 2019 announcement. It is not a current statement about Sevilla’s sponsor roster. The club has since announced other sponsorships, including DEGIRO as principal sponsor for the 2022–23 season, and the EverFX partnership should be treated as historical.
