Which CLE is the best fit?
CLE 300 4MATIC Coupe
The CLE 300 pairs a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four with 48-volt mild-hybrid assist, a nine-speed automatic, and 4MATIC all-wheel drive. Output is 255 hp and 295 lb-ft. Mercedes-Benz lists EPA fuel economy at 24 city/34 highway/27 combined MPG and estimates 0–60 mph in 6.2 seconds. Its 2026 guide lists a $59,550 MSRP before the stated $1,350 destination charge. Mercedes-Benz’s 2026 CLE guide provides the specifications.

CLE 450 4MATIC Coupe
The CLE 450 uses a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six with 48-volt assist, producing 375 hp and 369 lb-ft. It also has a nine-speed automatic and 4MATIC all-wheel drive. EPA fuel economy is 23/33/26 MPG, and Mercedes-Benz’s estimated 0–60 mph time is 4.2 seconds. The guide lists $69,000 before the stated destination charge. The extra output and quicker estimated acceleration come with a one-MPG reduction in combined EPA rating versus the CLE 300.
Features and optional equipment
The CLE guide lists MBUX navigation and voice control, biometric profile identification, a 12.3-inch driver display, an 11.9-inch center touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, inductive phone charging, and Burmester surround sound. These are guide-listed features; availability may vary by trim or configuration. An optional CLE 450 Engineering Package adds 2.5-degree rear-axle steering and adaptive-damping suspension.

AMG CLE 53: coupe and cabriolet pricing, with a cabriolet MPG rating
The 2026 price overview lists the AMG CLE 53 Coupe at $76,300 and Cabriolet at $84,600. The 2026 AMG CLE 53 Cabriolet guide lists 443 hp and 413 lb-ft, with brief overboost availability, an AMG nine-speed transmission, AMG Performance 4MATIC+, AMG RIDE CONTROL, performance brakes, and 2.5-degree rear-axle steering. Mercedes-Benz estimates 0–60 mph at 4.4 seconds, or 4.2 seconds with optional RACE START.
The Cabriolet’s EPA rating is 19 city/26 highway/22 combined MPG. That is the cabriolet-specific 2026 rating; it should not be transferred to the Coupe. The guide lists a $84,600 MSRP before a $1,350 destination charge and describes equipment including MBUX, AMG Track Pace, driver-assistance equipment, and a 2026 MANUFAKTUR Edition. AMG GT: keep the two-door and four-door lineups separate
The 2026 launch matrix gives the two-door AMG GT Coupe five trims, from $106,500 to $202,200, and the AMG GT 4-Door Coupe four trims, from $102,100 to $200,500. The four-door family starts at a lower listed price than the two-door family, but the ranges are not trim-for-trim equivalents. The pricing overview does not provide fuel economy or detailed feature specifications, and a complete 2026 MPG comparison for these families is not established here.
Do not use the current GT 43 Coupe retail page as a substitute for 2026 specifications: the displayed vehicle is model year 2027, with a listed $108,850 MSRP, 416 hp, rear-wheel drive, and 19 city/27 highway MPG. Those figures describe that displayed 2027 vehicle, not the 2026 GT 43. The GT 43 Coupe page identifies the displayed model year.

AMG SL roadster: performance range and plug-in-hybrid distinction
2026 launch prices
The 2026 launch overview lists the SL 43 at $112,500, SL 55 at $145,250, SL 63 at $187,850, and SL 63 S E PERFORMANCE at $207,900. These are model-year launch MSRPs, not the later prices displayed on the live AMG SL page.
SL 63 S E PERFORMANCE
The 2026 guide describes this plug-in hybrid as an 805-hp system combining a front V8 and rear motor. Its quoted 1,047 lb-ft combined-system torque is identified by the manufacturer as a calculated theoretical comparison value. Mercedes-Benz estimates 0–60 mph in 2.8 seconds. The EPA figures are 33/25/29 MPGe on gas plus electricity and an electric range of 1 mile. MPGe accounts for electricity as well as fuel, so it is not directly comparable to the gasoline MPG ratings listed for the CLE or Maybach. The guide lists a $207,900 MSRP before $1,350 destination and delivery. Read the 2026 SL 63 S E PERFORMANCE guide.
Best Value
- Why does the Mercedes AMG get only have room for a medium suitcase in the trunk?
- Because all the space was taken up by the turbocharged 243 cu in V8 engine.
- That beastly engine delivers over 250 Horsepower per seat-a total of 503 British Horsepower
- With that much under the hood, it can hit 60 mph from a Dead stop in just under four seconds and maintain a top speed of nearly 190 mph
- Kit features multi-part body, opening hood, left or right hand drive, and lots of plate options
Features on the other AMG SL trims
The AMG SL page highlights a triple-layer power soft top, personalization, MBUX, and track-oriented handling. It says AMG ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL with active roll stabilization is standard on the SL 63 and optional on the SL 55; rear-axle steering on those models can aid tight turns and stability. The same live page lists SL 43, SL 55, and SL 63 prices of $114,900, $147,750, and $190,500, respectively. These are current page prices and should not be confused with the 2026 launch MSRPs above. Check the current AMG SL page.
Mercedes-Maybach SL 680: luxury-first two-seat roadster
The 2026 Maybach SL 680 Monogram Series has a $224,900 launch MSRP before a $1,350 destination and delivery charge. Its handcrafted 4.0-liter V8 produces 577 hp and 590 lb-ft; Mercedes-Benz estimates 0–60 mph in 4.0 seconds. EPA fuel economy is 12 city/20 highway/15 combined MPG. Its listed equipment includes all-wheel drive, ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL, 2.5-degree rear-axle steering, a patterned acoustic soft top, Maybach-specific 21-inch forged wheels, and Crystal White Nappa leather with floral design. The 2026 Maybach SL 680 guide calls it the first two-seat roadster in Maybach history and the brand’s sportiest model to date.
How to compare prices and fuel economy responsibly
- Match model year first. The 2026 pricing overview is a launch-price source; live Mercedes-Benz pages can show later-year vehicles and different prices.
- Compare like body styles. CLE Coupe and Cabriolet, AMG GT Coupe and GT 4-Door Coupe, AMG SL, and Maybach SL are distinct choices. Do not carry over MPG or cargo assumptions from one body style to another.
- Separate MSRP from the amount due. The figures above are manufacturer-stated MSRPs; destination and delivery, options, taxes, and dealer pricing can change the transaction total.
- Read the fuel metric correctly. MPG figures are EPA city/highway/combined ratings for the named model; MPGe is the SL plug-in hybrid’s gas-and-electric metric. Manufacturer-estimated acceleration is not an independent test result.
Mercedes-Benz’s current all-vehicles page is dynamic and may display different model years and prices, so use it for current availability rather than as a replacement for the labeled 2026 figures. View the current Mercedes-Benz U.S. vehicle lineup.
