Mining software and hardware: historical observations
Klee discussed mining with software also used for Monero and described a comparison involving a system with two Xeon E5-2667 v3 processors. In a reply, a participant clarified the software reference with the wording “Also use xmrig NOT aeon-stak-cpu”. These are comments from October 2017, not a current compatibility statement or a benchmark that can be applied to other processors.

Aeon community resources have listed CPU mining with XMRig as well as GPU mining, but the existence of guides for those categories does not establish which approach currently works best. The community mining resources should be treated as documentation of topics covered, not confirmation that a particular guide or pool remains operational.
Wallet and pool discussion
The thread’s author described compiling and running a daemon and simple wallet, and advised preserving wallet seed words. Participants also discussed waiting for synchronization before a balance appeared and refreshing a wallet. These are users’ accounts from 2017, not verified instructions for current Aeon wallet software.

One participant noted that a smaller pool may find blocks less often, so a miner’s balance can change unevenly. That is an anecdotal observation in the thread, not a guarantee about how any particular pool pays or performs today.

Neither that listing nor the community mining resources establish current network activity, an available or reliable pool, mining profitability, or a suitable processor. The forum’s individual 2017 hashrate and coin-price comments are historical participant reports; they should not be used to estimate present-day earnings or forecast Aeon’s value.
