Evolution Brokers should be avoided. The available regulatory evidence does not support treating it as a legitimate, currently authorized broker. Italy’s financial regulator, CONSOB, ordered internet providers to block evolutionbrokers.com in November 2019 after identifying the site as offering financial services without the required authorization.
There are additional warning signs. A St. Vincent and the Grenadines company registration would not amount to a forex license, according to that jurisdiction’s Financial Services Authority. In addition, Maximus Global Marketing Ltd, a Belize company associated with the brand in public records, appears on the official March 7, 2026 struck-off list. The website is also currently reported as unavailable or inactive.
That evidence does not establish a criminal fraud conviction. It does establish that readers should not deposit money, submit identity documents, or rely on claims about current withdrawals, trading conditions, or regulation associated with Evolution Brokers.
Evolution Brokers: the regulatory verdict
Evolution Brokers is not verifiably legitimate today. The most important evidence comes from an official regulator rather than from a review website.

For consumers, the practical conclusion is straightforward: there is no verified active license, functioning broker website, or current legal framework that would make Evolution Brokers a reasonable place to hold trading funds.
What CONSOB’s action means
In its November 29, 2019 press release, Italy’s Commissione Nazionale per le Società e la Borsa identified several websites that were offering financial services without proper authorization. The list included:
- Maximus Global Markets Ltd; and
https://evolutionbrokers.com.
CONSOB said it had ordered Italian internet service providers to block access to the sites. This is a significant warning because it is an official action concerning unauthorized financial activity—not merely a negative customer review or an unfavorable rating from a comparison website.
It is important to describe the finding accurately. The CONSOB notice establishes that the website was targeted for offering financial services without the required authorization in Italy. It does not, by itself, prove that every person connected with the brand committed criminal fraud, nor does it determine every individual customer’s loss. The consumer implication is still clear: the site did not meet the authorization standard required for offering those services in Italy.

St. Vincent registration is not a forex license
Some broker listings have associated Evolution Brokers with St. Vincent and the Grenadines. That connection should not be confused with regulation.
The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Financial Services Authority states that forex trading and brokerage activities are not licensed in the jurisdiction. It also distinguishes the incorporation or registration of a business company from authorization to operate as a forex broker.

In other words, an offshore company may be registered there without being authorized to accept retail forex or CFD clients. Company registration does not provide the protections normally associated with a regulated investment firm, such as enforceable conduct rules, capital requirements, complaints procedures, or a compensation scheme.
This distinction matters when a broker uses phrases such as “registered in St. Vincent” or “based in St. Vincent.” Those descriptions may sound like regulatory credentials, but they are not evidence of a forex license.

The public record does not present a consistent corporate identity. That makes it harder to determine which legal entity, if any, was responsible for the brokerage service.
- CONSOB’s 2019 notice identifies Maximus Global Markets Ltd in connection with the blocked website.
- The Belize corporate record identifies Maximus Global Marketing Ltd, registration number 000035199.
- Older broker databases variously associate the brand with Maximus Global Markets Ltd, Maximus Global Marketing Ltd, Belize, and St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
These names are similar, but they are not identical. They should not be silently treated as the same legal entity. A company’s exact legal name is important when checking a license, sending a complaint, or attempting to recover funds.

The company appears under the struck-off companies. “Struck off” is a corporate-registration status, not a criminal-fraud finding. However, it means the company should not be presented as an active, ordinary corporate operator without evidence that it was restored or replaced by another valid legal entity.
It also does not resolve the separate name discrepancy between Maximus Global Marketing Ltd and Maximus Global Markets Ltd. A review should not claim that the Belize company is definitively the same entity named in the CONSOB notice unless an official record proves that connection.
Is Evolution Brokers regulated by CySEC?
Some comparison pages claim that Evolution Brokers is regulated by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission, or CySEC. The sources reviewed do not provide a CySEC license number or a matching entry in CySEC’s official register.
That claim should therefore not be published as fact. A genuine regulatory check would require all of the following to match:
- the exact legal entity name;
- the regulator’s license number;
- the official register entry;
- the approved domain name; and
- the services permitted under that license.
A broker’s logo, a “regulated” label, or a third-party directory listing is not enough. In this case, the unsupported CySEC claim conflicts with the official CONSOB action and with the St. Vincent FSA’s statement about forex brokerage.
Website, platform, and account terms
Older broker pages describe Evolution Brokers as offering MetaTrader 5, several account types, leverage of up to 1:1000, and a minimum deposit of around $500. Other listings give different figures, including a $300 minimum deposit.

Those details should not be treated as current. The official website is reported as unavailable or inactive, and no current official page was located to verify:
- an active account-opening process;
- current spreads or commissions;
- withdrawal methods;
- minimum deposit requirements;
- maximum leverage;
- a functioning client portal;
- an active regulatory license; or
- current client-funds and legal-agreement policies.
High leverage such as 1:1000 would also represent substantial risk even at a legitimate broker. It can magnify losses rapidly and may leave a retail trader owing money, depending on the account terms and applicable jurisdiction. But in this case, the more fundamental issue is the lack of verified authorization and current operating information.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteReports of withdrawal problems
Older review pages contain user allegations involving canceled withdrawals, lost communication, blocked access, and unresolved accounts. These are allegations published by third-party websites, not independently adjudicated findings. They should therefore be described as reported customer complaints rather than established facts.
Even without relying on those reports, the official regulatory action and the absence of verified current authorization are enough to justify avoiding the broker. A company asking for additional money to release an existing balance is particularly concerning. Requests described as “tax,” “unlock,” “verification,” “insurance,” or “recovery” payments should not be assumed to be legitimate.

Act quickly and do not send more money. Use this sequence:
- Stop further payments. Do not pay an alleged tax, withdrawal fee, account-unlock charge, or recovery fee to obtain your balance.
- Preserve evidence. Save account statements, emails, chat logs, phone numbers, screenshots, contracts, wallet addresses, transaction IDs, and the dates and amounts of every payment.
- Contact your bank or card issuer immediately. Ask whether a card-payment dispute, bank-transfer recall, or fraud investigation is available. Recovery is not guaranteed, and speed matters.
- Secure your accounts. Change passwords reused elsewhere, enable two-factor authentication, and monitor bank and card activity. If you uploaded identity documents, consider asking the relevant identity-provider or credit-reporting service about fraud monitoring.
- Report the matter. Contact your national financial regulator and law-enforcement agency, providing the broker’s exact company name, website, payment details, and communications.
- Be wary of recovery scams. Fraudsters often target people who have already lost money and promise guaranteed recovery for an upfront fee. No legitimate recovery firm can guarantee that result.
How to check a broker before depositing
Before opening an account with any online broker, check the regulator’s own register rather than relying on the broker’s website. Search the exact legal entity, license number, domain, and trading name. Then confirm that the register permits the specific services being advertised in your country.

Treat inconsistent company names, offshore registration presented as regulation, pressure to deposit quickly, unusually high leverage, and requests for extra withdrawal payments as reasons to stop.
FAQ
Is Evolution Brokers a scam?
The available evidence does not establish a criminal fraud conviction, so that conclusion would go beyond the verified record. However, CONSOB officially identified evolutionbrokers.com as offering financial services without proper authorization in 2019, the claimed St. Vincent jurisdiction does not license forex brokerage, and the associated Belize company named in public records was listed as struck off in March 2026. Evolution Brokers should therefore be treated as unsafe and avoided.
Is Evolution Brokers regulated?
No active regulatory authorization has been verified in the sources reviewed. The CySEC claim appearing on some comparison pages is unsupported by a verified CySEC license number and official register entry.
Does St. Vincent and the Grenadines regulate forex brokers?
The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Financial Services Authority says forex trading and brokerage activities are not licensed there. Incorporating a company in that jurisdiction is not the same as holding a forex-broker license.
What happened to Evolution Brokers’ website?
Current third-party checks report that evolutionbrokers.com is unavailable or inactive. CONSOB previously ordered the site blocked in Italy in November 2019 for offering financial services without the required authorization.
What should I do if Evolution Brokers will not process my withdrawal?
Do not send additional money to cover a supposed tax, release fee, verification charge, or recovery payment. Preserve all evidence, contact your bank or card issuer immediately about dispute or recall options, and report the matter to your financial regulator and law-enforcement agency.
The Bottom Line
Evolution Brokers is not verifiably legitimate today and should be avoided. The strongest evidence is CONSOB’s 2019 unauthorized-financial-services action, the St. Vincent FSA’s explicit statement that forex brokerage is not licensed there, the March 2026 Belize struck-off listing for Maximus Global Marketing Ltd, and the reported unavailability of the official website.
Do not treat an offshore company registration, an unsupported CySEC claim, old MetaTrader details, historical deposit figures, or high-leverage advertising as proof of current authorization or fund safety.
