Which wallet style fits cash and credit cards?
Start with what you actually carry, not the wallet’s advertised maximum. Wirecutter suggests a slim wallet for people who carry eight or fewer cards plus some cash and want pocket carry. A bifold suits that mix because it folds bills into a compartment while keeping cards in slots. A cardholder can be a better fit if you mainly carry cards and rarely need cash, but its cash storage may be limited or absent. For bills, look for a full-length bill slot, a folded-bill compartment, or a clip—whichever matches how you handle cash. What Slimfold’s specifications do—and don’t—tell you
Slimfold’s official site says its wallets are no thicker than 5 mm and describes a MICRO size model as holding six to ten cards. The site also says one model holds up to 11 credit cards and cash. Is RFID blocking worth prioritizing?
Wirecutter characterizes RFID-based card-information capture as a theoretical risk and says it could not find documented real-world cases of RFID credit-card theft in its research. On that basis, the review did not consider RFID protection worth paying extra for, though it did not exclude wallets that included it. This is Wirecutter’s assessment, not a guarantee that payment-card fraud or identity theft cannot occur; those broader risks are not the same as RFID skimming.
