Billie Eilish’s public work spans recorded music, touring, songwriting, film projects, merchandise, fragrance and other commercial projects. But there is no current public, audited breakdown showing how much she personally earns from each. The seven channels below describe documented activity—not a verified ranking of her income or take-home pay.
1. Recorded music sales and streaming
Eilish’s official store lists albums and physical formats, including vinyl and CDs. Recorded music can generate revenue through purchases and streaming, but the available sources do not disclose her streaming receipts, recording-contract terms or personal share of sales. Listening figures or products on sale therefore cannot establish what she takes home.

2. Touring and live performance
The Associated Press reported the HIT ME HARD AND SOFT arena tour announcement, with dates planned from September 2024 through July 2025. Those dates are now past; the announcement documents a live-performance business, not her net profit from the tour. Ticket revenue must be distinguished from costs and the artist’s eventual share. The AP also reported that part of ticket proceeds was designated for REVERB, so gross ticket sales should not be treated as Eilish’s personal earnings. AP tour announcement
3. Songwriting and publishing
Songwriting can generate publishing and performance royalties, depending on credits, rights and agreements. In a December 2024 interview, CBS discussed Eilish’s songwriting and her work on “What Was I Made For?” for Barbie. The interview does not disclose royalty amounts or splits, so it supports songwriting as documented work—not a dollar estimate for her publishing income. CBS interview
#1 Best Overall
- Billie Eilish's third studio album, HIT ME HARD AND SOFT, released via Darkroom/Interscope Records is her most daring body of work to date, a diverse yet cohesive collection of songs - ideally listened to in its entirety from beginning to end - does exactly as the album title suggests; hits you hard and soft both lyrically and sonically, while bending genres and defying trends along the way
4. Film and soundtrack projects
Work connected to film can involve soundtrack contributions as well as separate commissioned projects. The Barbie song is one documented example. Forbes also reported in its 2020 profile that Eilish reportedly collected $25 million from Apple for a documentary about her life and career. That is a historical, reported project payment, not evidence of a recurring annual income stream or her net proceeds after any costs and taxes. Forbes profile
5. Merchandise
The official store lists apparel and other merchandise. Universal Music Group’s 2024 annual report also references Hit Me Hard and Soft pop-up stores. These sources establish commerce around Eilish’s brand, but neither provides her personal share of merchandise revenue. Products sold through an artist’s brand may involve labels, licensees, manufacturers, distributors and other parties.
Rank #2
- Recorded during her sold-out world tour, HIT ME HARD AND SOFT: THE TOUR (LIVE) is exclusively available on 100% recycled vinyl as a one-time-only pressing, uniquely colored with a lenticular insert
UMG said 36% of its merchandising revenue in 2024 came through direct-to-consumer channels. That is a company-wide figure, not an Eilish-specific sales or earnings measure. UMG 2024 annual report
6. Fragrance
Eilish Fragrances appears as a section of her official store, documenting a branded product line. The sources do not state fragrance sales, licensing terms or Eilish’s compensation per sale, so the existence of the line should not be confused with a known personal earnings figure.
Rank #3
- Billie Eilish releases her highly anticipated sophomore album, Happier Than Ever, via Darkroom/Interscope Records
7. Commercial projects and partnerships
Projects made with commercial partners can pay differently from album royalties or tour proceeds. Forbes’s reported Apple documentary payment is a concrete historical example of a project beyond ordinary music and ticket sales. The available sources do not establish a current schedule of endorsements or other partnership income, so naming additional deals or assigning them dollar values would go beyond what is documented.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What the public figures do—and don’t—show
Forbes listed $53 million in Celebrity 100 earnings for Eilish as of June 4, 2020. This is a dated earnings figure, not current income, a verified net-worth figure or a statement of cash retained after expenses and taxes. Forbes is also the source of the separately reported Apple documentary payment; the two figures should not be read as a current earnings breakdown. Forbes profile
Rank #4
- Billie Eilish's third studio album, HIT ME HARD AND SOFT, released via Darkroom/Interscope Records is her most daring body of work to date, a diverse yet cohesive collection of songs - ideally listened to in its entirety from beginning to end - does exactly as the album title suggests; hits you hard and soft both lyrically and sonically, while bending genres and defying trends along the way
Tour impact totals are a different kind of figure altogether. Eilish’s official tour impact report says tour initiatives raised $13.3 million for climate action and community organizations. That is fundraising, not artist earnings. Official tour impact report
In short, the sources establish multiple ways Eilish’s work can generate revenue, but they do not provide comparable current dollar amounts across those categories. Sales, streams, credits, ticket activity and branded products are evidence of commercial activity—not a disclosure of her personal share.
