Verdict: Kato Prime should not be recommended to U.S. traders. Its own website says that its services are not offered to U.S. residents, and its documents create uncertainty about which legal entity actually provides the brokerage service. The broker also publishes conflicting account figures, gives itself broad power over withdrawals and trading activity, and has a negative review history that includes withdrawal and account-suspension complaints.
That does not prove, by itself, that Kato Prime is a criminal scam. The more accurate description is an offshore broker with material regulatory, contractual, and withdrawal risks. For a risk-conscious trader, that is enough reason not to deposit funds.
What is Kato Prime?
Kato Prime operates through the katoprimes.com website, which replaced or now receives traffic from the former katoprime.com domain. The site identifies Kato Prime Limited as a Hong Kong company with company number 2509294. It lists a registered address at RM 509, 5/F The Cloud, 111 Tung Chau Street, Tai Kok Tsui, Hong Kong, and an office address in Mong Kok, Kowloon.
The website separately refers to Kato Prime (MU) Trading Limited, a Mauritius company with registration number 222302 GBC. Kato Prime says this entity holds a Mauritius Financial Services Commission Investment Dealer licence, number GB24203818.

The problem is not simply whether a company somewhere in the group has a licence. The client agreement and website footer identify Kato Prime Limited in Hong Kong, while the regulations page discusses the Mauritius company. The published documents do not clearly explain which entity accepts a particular customer’s deposit, holds client money, executes trades, or is responsible for a withdrawal dispute.
Is Kato Prime regulated?
Kato Prime claims that Kato Prime (MU) Trading Limited holds a Mauritius FSC Investment Dealer licence under section 29 of the Securities Act 2005, together with a Global Business Licence under section 72 of the Financial Services Act 2001.
That claim should not automatically be treated as proof that the Hong Kong company serving a client is regulated. Nor does a Mauritius licence make Kato Prime legal or suitable for customers in every country. The customer needs to establish:
- Which exact company is named in the account agreement;
- Whether that company is the licensed entity;
- Whether the licence covers the specific products offered;
- What client-money, compensation, and dispute-resolution protections apply; and
- Whether the broker is authorized in the customer’s own country.
The current public information does not answer those questions clearly enough for Kato Prime to be treated as a low-risk regulated broker. Hong Kong incorporation is also not the same as authorization by Hong Kong’s Securities and Futures Commission to offer retail forex or CFD services.

U.S. residents are expressly excluded
Kato Prime’s website and client agreement state that its information and services are not directed or offered to residents of the United States, among other restricted jurisdictions.
For a U.S. reader, this is decisive. Kato Prime is not presenting itself as a broker available to U.S. residents. A U.S. resident who is contacted by an agent, permitted to register, or asked to send money should save screenshots, emails, phone numbers, and payment instructions. Soliciting a customer while the website says that customer is excluded would be inconsistent with the broker’s own published terms.

A Mauritius licence would not replace U.S. authorization. U.S. forex dealers generally face registration and conduct requirements overseen by bodies such as the Commodity Futures Trading Commission and National Futures Association. Kato Prime’s own exclusion notice is the relevant practical warning here: U.S. residents should not use the service.
Account types, deposits, and leverage
Kato Prime’s trading-account page currently advertises these account categories:
| Account | Published claim |
|---|---|
| Standard | $0 minimum deposit; leverage up to 1:3000; no commission |
| STP | $0 minimum deposit; low spreads; fast execution |
| Unlimited | $0 minimum deposit; spreads as low as zero; commission from $8 |
| Demo | Free account with no deposit |
Other parts of the homepage show different numbers. The Standard account is displayed at $15, the STP account at $50, and the Unlimited account at $55 in one section, while another section shows $100 for Unlimited. Leverage is variously advertised as 1:3000, 1:3003, and “unlimited.”
These are not minor presentation issues. A trader needs to know the minimum funding requirement, leverage limit, spread, commission, and margin rules before depositing. The conflicting figures mean that marketing pages should not be treated as reliable pricing. A prospective customer would need to preserve the exact agreement and dashboard terms in effect at the time of funding.
Leverage of 1:3000 or higher is also an extreme-risk feature. A small market movement can consume available margin quickly, and the advertised leverage may be reduced around news events without prior notice.
Withdrawals: the terms matter more than the marketing claim
The homepage promotes withdrawals in less than five minutes. Kato Prime’s withdrawal document is more conditional. It says, among other things, that:

- Withdrawals from unverified accounts are not processed;
- Funds generally must be returned through the same payment account used for the deposit;
- The payment account must be in the trading-account holder’s name;
- The broker may request source-of-funds and source-of-wealth information;
- Withdrawal requests are processed Monday to Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. GMT+3;
- Card refunds may take 3–14 business days after processing to appear;
- Maintenance fees may apply where trading activity is insufficient; and
- The broker may impose deposit limits or deposit fees.
The policy also allows the company to disable an unverified account without prior notice if it believes the account is being misused. It disclaims responsibility for losses caused by incorrect destination-account details and says it cannot guarantee that a financial transaction can be recalled.
None of these clauses proves that Kato Prime refuses every withdrawal. They do show why “withdrawal in five minutes” is not a universal guarantee. Verification, payment-route restrictions, anti-money-laundering checks, business-hour processing, and card-provider delays can all extend the process. A trader should be particularly cautious if an agent demands an additional “tax,” “unlock fee,” or “insurance payment” before releasing a balance. Do not send more money simply because a withdrawal is delayed.
Trading rules that can affect profitable strategies
Kato Prime’s trading policy gives the broker considerable discretion over orders and accounts. The published rules state that:
- Stop and stop-loss orders can be rejected, deleted, or filled at the first available market price around major news;
- Spreads may widen substantially during volatile markets;
- Prices may be greyed out if liquidity falls or the broker loses connectivity with a liquidity provider;
- Leverage can be reduced before, during, or after important news without prior notice;
- Expert Advisors are not allowed;
- Trades lasting less than 180 seconds may be cancelled if considered abusive;
- The broker may investigate linked accounts using IP addresses, devices, trading patterns, funding sources, and timing correlations; and
- The broker may suspend or close accounts, investigate indefinitely, or impose a penalty fee for prohibited techniques.
The policy lists a margin-call threshold of 70% and a stop-out level of 30%. Hedging is prohibited once account equity falls below 30% of the remaining balance.
These restrictions create specific risks for news traders, scalpers, algorithmic traders, latency-arbitrage strategies, mirror traders, and customers operating more than one related account. A platform that offers MT4 or MT5 does not necessarily permit every strategy normally associated with those platforms.
Can Kato Prime change its terms?
The client agreement says Kato Prime may change its terms by publishing revised conditions on its website and does not have to notify clients separately. The trading policy similarly reserves the right to change terms without notice.

This gives the customer less certainty about the rules applying to an open account. Leverage, withdrawal conditions, prohibited strategies, fees, and account restrictions could change after registration. Traders should download the client agreement, trading policy, deposit-and-withdrawal policy, and account screens before sending money, then retain copies with dates.
What do customer reviews say?
Trustpilot currently displays a warning that Kato Prime’s rating is unavailable because the company breached Trustpilot’s guidelines. The page says that a number of fake reviews were removed.

Recent negative reviews allege account suspensions after KYC, balance reductions associated with bonus accounts, delayed or disputed withdrawals, platform freezes, and execution problems. These are customer allegations, not independently adjudicated findings, so they should not be presented as proof that every account has the same experience.
Forex Peace Army displays a “Stay Away From Kato Prime” warning and user reviews. Other broker-review websites have also described the broker as high risk. Those sources are useful warning signals, but an official regulator’s register and the actual legal agreement carry more weight than review scores.

The available evidence does not establish a criminal fraud finding, and it would be too strong to call Kato Prime conclusively fake. The platform has a stated corporate identity, a client portal, and claimed access to MT4, MT5, and a mobile application.
Those features do not answer the central safety questions. A functioning login page or trading terminal can exist without strong custody protection, effective regulatory oversight, or a dependable dispute process.

The defensible conclusion is that Kato Prime may be a functioning offshore trading platform, but it is not demonstrably safe or suitable for U.S. customers. The entity mismatch, exclusion of U.S. residents, inconsistent commercial terms, broad withdrawal discretion, and negative review history make avoiding the broker the prudent choice.
What to do if you already deposited money
- Stop sending additional funds. Do not pay a supposed tax, verification fee, recovery fee, or account-unlock charge without independent legal and financial advice.
- Request a withdrawal in writing. Use the official portal and support address, and keep the request, timestamp, ticket number, and all replies.
- Preserve evidence. Save account statements, trade histories, wallet addresses, bank details, card receipts, chats, emails, phone numbers, and screenshots of the terms shown when you deposited.
- Contact the payment provider quickly. Ask your card issuer, bank, or payment service whether a dispute, recall, or fraud report is available. Recovery is not guaranteed, and speed matters.
- Report suspected misconduct. U.S. residents can consider reports to the FTC, CFTC, NFA, and relevant state regulators. If cryptocurrency was used, report the transaction to the exchange and include the destination wallet address.
- Secure your accounts. Change reused passwords, revoke remote-access software, and be wary of “recovery agents” who demand upfront payment.
FAQ
Is Kato Prime regulated?
Kato Prime says that Kato Prime (MU) Trading Limited holds Mauritius FSC licence GB24203818. However, the client agreement identifies Kato Prime Limited in Hong Kong, and the public documents do not clearly establish that the Hong Kong entity serving the customer is covered by the Mauritius licence.
Can U.S. residents use Kato Prime?
Kato Prime’s own website and client agreement say that its services are not offered to U.S. residents. U.S. residents should not deposit with the broker, particularly if an agent solicits them despite that restriction.
Does Kato Prime guarantee five-minute withdrawals?
No universal five-minute guarantee appears in the withdrawal policy. The policy requires verification, generally requires the original payment route, permits source-of-funds checks, processes requests during stated weekday hours, and says card refunds can take 3–14 business days.

Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
Is Kato Prime definitely a scam?
The available evidence does not establish a criminal fraud finding. It does establish significant regulatory, contractual, withdrawal, and reputation risks. Those risks make Kato Prime unsuitable for risk-conscious traders, especially U.S. residents.
What leverage does Kato Prime offer?
The website publishes inconsistent figures, including leverage up to 1:3000, 1:3003, and references to unlimited leverage. The broker also says leverage may be reduced around major news without prior notice.
The Bottom Line
Bottom line: Avoid Kato Prime, particularly if you are in the United States. The broker’s own terms exclude U.S. residents, the named Hong Kong company is not clearly connected to the claimed Mauritius licence, and the published rules leave substantial discretion over withdrawals, leverage, trade cancellation, and account suspension. The evidence does not justify a definitive criminal-fraud label, but it provides more than enough reason not to risk money with this broker.
