Ask before accepting anything, and check the hotel’s current policy for your stay.
How to ask without risking a surprise charge
Contact the front desk and be specific about both availability and cost. For example: “Could you tell me whether you have a complimentary [item] available, and whether I should return it?” If the answer is unclear, confirm whether the item is free, a loan, or for purchase before it is sent to your room.
At participating Hyatt hotels, guests can call the front desk or use the World of Hyatt app’s My Stay request feature. The hotel’s own FAQ is the best place to confirm its current policy. Hyatt Has It

1. Toothbrush and toothpaste
Forgotten dental basics are among the most practical requests. Hyatt lists personal necessities through its Hyatt Has It program, and the Hyatt House Sterling/Dulles Airport-North FAQ says emergency toothbrushes are complimentary. 2. A razor or shaving supplies
Some hotels can provide a basic razor or shaving cream. Arthouse Hotel lists razors and shaving cream among items available on request, while Hyatt House Sterling/Dulles Airport-North mentions complimentary safety razors. Confirm the terms with your hotel. Arthouse Hotel FAQ
3. Extra towels

4. An extra pillow or blanket

5. A sewing kit
A small sewing kit can help with a loose button or minor clothing repair. 6. An umbrella

7. A phone charger or outlet adapter
A hotel may have a charger or adapter available, but it may be a loan or a sale rather than a free item. Hyatt says guests may borrow or purchase a cellphone charger or outlet adapter; Arthouse Hotel lists universal adaptors on request. Ask which option applies before taking one. 8. Other basic toiletries

9. A kettle or coffee maker
If your room does not have one, ask whether the hotel can provide a kettle or coffeemaker. Arthouse Hotel lists electric kettles on request, and Hotel Giraffe lists coffeemakers and tea kettles among no-charge items available on request, subject to availability. 10. Luggage storage

Some apparent freebies depend on the property, room rate, membership, or local policy. For example, Hyatt House Sterling/Dulles Airport-North ties complimentary breakfast to qualifying rates and World of Hyatt membership benefits. At Hyatt Regency Milwaukee, in-room bottled water is complimentary for World of Hyatt elite members and costs $4 for other guests at that property; water is available at no charge from a fitness-center cooler.
