The documented purchases
The Los Angeles home: $8.225 million in 2014
The Los Angeles Times reported that Lawrence bought a Beverly Crest home for $8.225 million in 2014. Its description gives a sense of what that price bought: 5,500 square feet, five bedrooms, six bathrooms, a pool, and a koi pond. Vogue’s 2015 profile described her living in a Beverly Hills house bought the previous year for about $8 million, an approximate figure consistent with the Times’ more precise report.
Vogue also provided a rare personal detail about the house: Lawrence said she hired decorators from Louisville and furnished it, telling the magazine, “I can’t believe what a difference furniture has made in my overall emotional well-being.” The home had been renovated before her purchase, according to the profile.

The Upper East Side penthouse: $15.6 million in 2016
Architectural Digest reported that Lawrence bought an Upper East Side penthouse for $15.6 million in 2016. The same outlet said in 2020 that the property had been listed, but the final sale price was unclear at publication. Realtor.com later characterized the sale as a loss and reported that the listing price had been below the purchase price; those reports do not establish the exact amount Lawrence ultimately received.
The West Village home: $21.9 million reportedly in 2020
Architectural Digest reported that Lawrence and Maroney reportedly paid $21.9 million for a townhouse-style West Village unit in 2020, attributing the amount to the New York Post. Because this account relies on secondary reporting, it is best described as a reported purchase rather than a confirmed statement by the couple.
What happened to the Los Angeles home?
Realtor.com reported in 2025 that Lawrence sold the Beverly Hills home for $11 million, after buying it for just over $8 million in 2014. That later sale is an outcome for the same general 2014 home-purchase history, not a fourth purchase to add to the list.

The title promises ten expensive things, but reliable reporting reviewed for this article substantiates three residential purchases, not ten separate items. Counting the homes’ amenities or furniture as independent purchases would misrepresent the evidence, and unsupported claims about cars, jewelry, or fashion would not make the list more accurate.

One often-repeated property should also be excluded: a Santa Monica townhouse sold in 2016 was attributed to Lawrence in some coverage, but the Los Angeles Times reviewed deed and assessment records and found it had been held by her parents, Karen and Gary Lawrence, since 2006. Its reported $1.15 million sale price was not a purchase by Jennifer Lawrence.
