INFINOX announced IX Exchange on October 4, 2022. The UK-focused platform was presented as a way to access more than 20,000 exchange-traded investments from one account, including shares, ETFs, bonds, options and funds.
It was not announced as a replacement for MetaTrader. INFINOX positioned IX Exchange alongside its existing MetaTrader-based service: one platform for buying and holding exchange-traded investments, and the other for leveraged derivatives such as CFDs.
What was IX Exchange?
IX Exchange was introduced by INFINOX Capital Ltd as a multi-asset investment platform for UK investors. The launch announcement said it would be available through desktop, mobile and web interfaces, allowing clients to trade instruments listed on major global exchanges.
The headline proposition was access to “more than 20,000 investments” through a single INFINOX account. The announced product range included:

The announcement also said the service could be used by independent financial advisers, hedge funds, proprietary trading desks and other financial institutions. It referred to portfolio transfers from other brokers and structures such as SIPPs and SSAS pensions, although those features should be treated as launch claims rather than confirmed current services.
IX Exchange and MetaTrader were intended to work side by side
A common misunderstanding is that IX Exchange replaced MetaTrader at INFINOX. The 2022 announcement said the opposite: the two platforms were intended to operate alongside one another.

That distinction matters for personal investors. Buying an exchange-traded asset is not the same as trading a leveraged CFD that tracks its price. CFDs can magnify both gains and losses, and a trader can lose money quickly even when the underlying investment is familiar.
When did INFINOX launch IX Exchange?
The documented launch date was October 4, 2022. Reports or pages describing the service as a newly launched 2026 product are therefore inaccurate.

It should not be described as a globally available INFINOX service without checking the customer’s country, regulatory entity and account eligibility. INFINOX operates through entities covering different jurisdictions, and products can differ between them.
Is IX Exchange still available?
Current availability cannot be confirmed from the INFINOX documentation reviewed in August 2026. INFINOX’s current FAQ lists MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5 and IX Social as its documented trading platforms. It does not list IX Exchange in the answer describing the platforms it offers.

The reviewed material also does not provide a current IX Exchange user guide, platform version, login address, instrument list, fee schedule, supported-exchange list or current mobile and desktop download links. That means readers should not assume that an old launch announcement describes the service available to new customers today.
A related UK company, IX EXCHANGE UK LTD (company number 13700297), remains on Companies House records. However, accounts made up to October 31, 2025, filed on July 27, 2026, describe the company as dormant. This does not independently prove that the INFINOX product was discontinued, but it is another reason to obtain direct confirmation before transferring money or assets.

How to check access with INFINOX
INFINOX’s current registration instructions describe a general client-portal process, not a confirmed IX Exchange onboarding route:
- Open the INFINOX client-portal registration page.
- Choose “Individual Account” or “Corporate Account.”
- Click “Register Now.”
- Enter the requested personal or company information.
- Accept the terms and conditions.
- Click “Continue.”
The instructions do not say that this process creates or activates an IX Exchange account. Before depositing funds, a prospective customer should ask INFINOX in writing whether IX Exchange is available to their jurisdiction, which legal entity will hold the account, what instruments and charges apply, and whether transfers from another broker or pension structures are currently supported.
Do not confuse IX Exchange with IX One
INFINOX announced another product, IX One, in January 2023 and described it as an all-in-one, multi-asset trading platform. There is no verified company statement in the reviewed material confirming that IX One was a rename, replacement or continuation of IX Exchange.
The two names should therefore be kept separate. A reference to IX One is not proof that IX Exchange remains available, and an old IX Exchange launch article is not evidence of current IX One functionality.

Regulatory context
INFINOX Capital Limited is identified by the Financial Conduct Authority under reference number 501057. On January 27, 2025, the FCA issued a final notice imposing a £99,200 penalty over transaction-reporting failures covering October 1, 2022, to March 31, 2023.
The FCA said INFINOX failed to submit 46,053 transaction reports relating to approximately 60% of its single-stock CFD business line during that period. The notice concerns transaction reporting and a CFD desk. It does not say that IX Exchange was suspended, closed or defective.
For investors, the practical lesson is to distinguish the product being considered from the firm’s other activities. Ask for the applicable legal entity, regulatory protections, custody arrangements, fees and complaint process rather than relying on the platform’s branding.
What investors should verify before using it

Bottom line for personal investors
IX Exchange was a genuine INFINOX launch announced on October 4, 2022—not a new 2026 release. Its proposed role was to give UK investors access to exchange-traded investments through desktop, mobile and web, while MetaTrader continued to handle leveraged trading.
What is not clear is whether IX Exchange remains an active, supported product under that name. Because current INFINOX pages do not document it, investors should confirm availability, costs, legal entity, asset custody and account eligibility directly with INFINOX before applying or moving a portfolio.

When did INFINOX launch IX Exchange?
INFINOX announced IX Exchange on October 4, 2022. Descriptions calling it a newly launched 2026 platform are outdated or incorrect.
Did IX Exchange replace MetaTrader?
No. INFINOX described IX Exchange as the platform for exchange-traded investments and its MetaTrader-based service as the platform for leveraged derivatives such as CFDs.
Can investors currently open an IX Exchange account?
