Reported football-shirt sales by club in 2025
AS USA and Sky Sport Italia published the same ranking and figures, attributing them to Euroméricas Sport Marketing. The table presents the reported counts; the sources describe the ranking as global but do not explain how the estimates were assembled.

Real Madrid leads Barcelona by 193,000 shirts in this table. Inter Miami ranks fifth, between Bayern Munich and Boca Juniors. The two reports agree on both order and counts, but that agreement does not show that either outlet independently checked the original data.
How reliable are the 2025 shirt-sales figures?
AS USA published the ranking on 11 January 2026, and Sky Sport Italia published the same figures on 26 May 2026. Both attribute the study to Euroméricas Sport Marketing. The primary study was not available through these reports, so important details cannot be confirmed: how sales were measured, whether the figures represent retail estimates, which sales channels or countries were included, and whether the counts cover replica shirts, authentic shirts, or both. The reports also do not say whether counterfeit or secondhand sales are excluded.

There is a timing wrinkle: AS reported Real Madrid at 3,133,000 in a November 2025 article, describing that figure as sales during 2025 to that point. AS USA later gave the same figure as the total for the completed year. That discrepancy makes careful attribution important, but it does not by itself prove the number is incorrect. AS’s November 2025 report and the later AS USA ranking provide the relevant dates and framing.

A shirt-count ranking measures units reported sold; it should not be confused with revenue. FC Barcelona said on 28 February 2026 that UEFA’s annual club report placed it first for kit and merchandising revenue, at €277 million—€46 million ahead of Real Madrid. That revenue category includes kit and merchandising and is not a count of shirts. The club’s account is available in its UEFA revenue ranking announcement.

For that reason, a club can rank differently by revenue than by shirt units: price, product mix, and merchandise beyond shirts affect revenue, while the reported unit table does not provide those details.
