Lamine Yamal tops a reported 2025 ranking of footballers by shirts sold, ahead of Lionel Messi and Robert Lewandowski. The figures are estimates attributed to marketing agency Euromericas—not audited global totals—so the list is best read as a reported ranking rather than a definitive count.
Who sold the most football shirts in 2025?
Sportune’s December 7, 2025 report attributes the ranking and figures below to Euromericas. It lists Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal first with an estimated 1,315,000 shirts, followed by Inter Miami’s Lionel Messi with 1,278,000 and Barcelona’s Robert Lewandowski with 1,110,000. Sportune’s report cautions that dependable cross-market sales data are difficult to obtain.

All ten values are Euromericas estimates as printed by Sportune, not independently audited counts. The report does not establish the underlying dataset, precise sales period, geographic coverage, which shirt versions were included, or how the estimates were calculated. Those unknowns make the exact totals and fine distinctions in rank less certain than the table’s precise numbers may suggest.
How much confidence should you put in the ranking?
A December 23, 2025 beIN SPORTS report attributes a similar ranking to Score 90 and gives rounded estimates of about 1.32 million for Yamal, 1.28 million for Messi and 1.1 million for Lewandowski. That is consistent with the same top three and approximate totals, but the available reporting does not establish that Score 90 and Euromericas used independent data. The overlap therefore is not independent verification.

- Inspired by the world's largest soccer matchup, the adidas FIFA World Cup 26 soccer ball pairs design with performance. A seamless TSBE surface enhances touch. The butyl bladder ensures consistent shape retention for every match or practice session.
- TSBE TECHNOLOGY: Seamless surface for better touch and lower water uptake
- KEEPS ITS SHAPE: Butyl bladder for best air retention
- REQUIRES INFLATION: Ships flat, pump not included
- FIFA QUALITY AND OFFICIALLY LICENSED: Officially licensed by FIFA, the ball passed FIFA tests on circumference, weight, rebound and water absorption
For context, Major League Soccer published its own 2025 player-jersey ranking with a defined scope: “The below rankings are based on sales at MLSstore.com operated by Fanatics from January 1 through May 1, 2025.” MLS’s announcement identifies one retailer and a specific January-to-May window. It is a limited league-retailer snapshot, not a full-year worldwide count and not confirmation of the Euromericas estimates.

A ranking is only meaningful alongside its measurement rules. Compare the source and method, dates covered, geographic reach, sales channels and retailers included, and whether it counts all shirt versions or only particular products. Also distinguish an estimate from a transparent, audited tally. Sportune specifically notes that combining figures across kit suppliers, clubs, online and physical retail, and commercial arrangements is difficult; its report does not detail how those issues were handled.
Rank #2
- A recreational soccer ball with a resilient butyl bladder for casual games
- SOFT AND DURABLE: Machine-stitched construction ensures a soft touch and high durability
- KEEPS ITS SHAPE: Butyl bladder for best air retention
- REQUIRES INFLATION: Ships flat, pump not included
If you are choosing a shirt rather than evaluating the ranking, check the club and season, whether the item is licensed, the version and fit, personalization details, and who is selling it. A player-and-club pairing in a sales list does not establish a particular seller’s authenticity, stock or price.
