The best buys depend on your guest count, oven space, and appetite for cooking. Here are 10 useful finds and categories, organized by when they help—with a reminder that Same-Day listings and warehouse stock vary by location.
For guests arriving before dinner
1. A veggie platter
A ready-to-serve vegetable platter gives early arrivals something to nibble while you finish cooking. It avoids another recipe and usually needs no oven time, which matters when the main meal and sides are competing for space. Costco’s FY26 Same-Day Thanksgiving collection displayed baking potatoes and sweet potatoes. They can support familiar Thanksgiving sides, whether you plan to mash, roast, or bake them. Same-Day is a local delivery listing, not a promise that every warehouse has the same selection; check your local page before building the menu around a particular item.
5. Bulk pecans and baking ingredients
Pecan halves are among the items displayed in the FY26 collection. A larger quantity can be handy if you are making pecan pie, adding crunch to a side, or baking for more than one gathering. Food Network’s roundup also points to ingredients such as cinnamon and pumpkin puree, but those editorial suggestions do not establish today’s stock or prices.

6. A listed turkey dinner for a smaller gathering
Costco Same-Day lists a Kirkland Signature Turkey Dinner with Stuffing and Gravy as a meal for seven to eight. Its product description says it includes half a boneless turkey breast, Yukon Gold potatoes, cranberry sauce, fresh vegetables, poultry gravy, and herbed stuffing. It showed “Out of stock” when accessed, so treat it as a listed meal option—not an available or guaranteed order. Confirm local availability and serving details before relying on it.

A roasting pan is a worthwhile hosting purchase only if your current pan is too small, awkward to handle, or unsuitable for the meal you are preparing. 8. Carving and serving pieces

Table linens can help when your table setup needs them, but they do not make meal preparation easier in the same way. 10. A bakery dessert—or ingredients to make one
Choose between buying a ready-made dessert and baking, depending on how much time and oven space you have. Food Network’s older roundup mentions Costco bakery pumpkin pie and cheesecake, but it does not verify current availability. Costco’s FY26 Same-Day collection displayed Kirkland Signature Pumpkin Cheesecake with Whipped Topping and dessert bars. It also displayed pecan halves, heavy whipped cream, and other baking ingredients if you would rather make dessert yourself. These local, time-sensitive listings can change; check your area before planning around them.
