Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere earned an estimated $9.1 million in U.S. and Canadian theaters over its opening weekend, October 24–26, 2025, according to Comscore estimates reported by the Associated Press. It ranked fourth at the North American box office; the figure is a weekend gross, not worldwide revenue or the film’s final total.
How the film ranked in its opening weekend
The Associated Press’ October 26, 2025, weekend chart put the Springsteen biopic behind three releases, using Comscore estimates for Friday through Sunday in the U.S. and Canada:
| Rank | Film | Weekend result |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Chainsaw Man: The Movie – Reze Arc | $17.25 million opening-weekend estimate |
| 2 | Black Phone 2 | $13 million second-weekend estimate |
| 3 | Regretting You | $12.85 million opening-weekend estimate |
| 4 | Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere | $9.1 million opening-weekend estimate |
All four figures are comparable U.S./Canada weekend estimates reported by the AP, rather than full-run totals. The films did not all have the same release timing: Black Phone 2 was in its second weekend, while the other three were opening.
What the $9.1 million figure does—and doesn’t—mean
The $9.1 million is an estimate of ticket sales for one three-day weekend in the U.S. and Canada. ScreenDollars separately reported a $9.1 million domestic opening and a $16.1 million worldwide opening in its October 26, 2025, industry newsletter. The worldwide figure is ScreenDollars’ report; it should not be added to or confused with the AP’s North American estimate.

- Jeremy Allen White stars in this intimate film about the making of Bruce Springsteen’s acoustic album “Nebraska.” On the cusp of global superstardom, the young musician struggles to reconcile the pressures of success with the ghosts of his past. “Nebraska” marked a pivotal time in the Boss’s life and is considered one of his most enduring works.
Opening-weekend revenue alone cannot show whether a movie made a profit. The reported figures do not establish the film’s final worldwide gross, full release run, marketing costs, production budget from a primary source, or how box-office revenue was divided between studios and theaters. A low chart position or a particular weekend gross, by itself, is not proof of a financial loss.
The UK and Ireland result was different
In a separate territory, Disney UK Press reported that the film opened at number one in the UK and Ireland, taking £1.307 million ($1.67 million) over its opening weekend. That result covers a different market and uses a separate currency; it does not contradict the film’s fourth-place North American ranking.

What the film is about
Directed and written for the screen by Scott Cooper, the film stars Jeremy Allen White as Bruce Springsteen. 20th Century Studios lists it as a PG-13, two-hour film that opened in U.S. theaters on October 24, 2025. It is based on Warren Zanes’ book Deliver Me from Nowhere and follows Springsteen during the making of his 1982 album Nebraska. The studio describes the album as recorded on a four-track recorder in Springsteen’s New Jersey bedroom.
The AP reported that Springsteen was involved in the film’s production and that White learned guitar for the role. The AP also reported a B+ CinemaScore audience grade. That audience score is one reported measure, not a substitute for a broader critical consensus or a measure of box-office performance.
