Oliver’s Travels introduced the submarine in February 2014 under the name “Mile Low Club.” The company described it as a leisure submarine furnished to customer specifications, rather than a conventional hotel room. Its launch announcement named three crew members: a captain, chef and personal butler. The crew were said to have separate, sound-proof living accommodation at the other end of the craft, intended to preserve guests’ privacy.
Guests could select a location. The operator gave examples including a coral reef off St. Lucia and a sunken battleship in the Red Sea. Custom extras were separate possibilities, not a documented current package
The announcement said Oliver’s Concierge service could arrange extras such as helicopter transfers with a beach landing, rose-petal scattering and champagne breakfast in bed. It also described a specialist aphrodisiac tasting menu, but the stated free offer applied to honeymoon-package guests during 2014 only. None of these launch-era details establishes what, if anything, is available now.

Why was the advertised price so high?
The offer combined a private, customer-configured submarine experience with a dedicated three-person crew, a chosen underwater setting and private transfers. Those features help explain what made the proposition unusual and exclusive. They do not, however, reveal how the operator calculated its rate: the available reporting provides no audited cost breakdown, per-night operating costs or evidence assigning a specific share of the price to customization, crew or transfers.
Oliver Bell, co-founder of Oliver’s Travels, said the company looked forward to creating bespoke packages for customers interested in the “Mile Low Club.” That statement supports the launch-era emphasis on tailored arrangements, but it is not evidence of present-day service or booking terms.

Is Lover’s Deep really $150,000 a night?
