What ALDI sold for Fat Tuesday 2026
The seasonal product was called Bake Shop Paczki. Parade described the pastries as deep-fried and filled with Bavarian cream, and listed them at $3.69, with stores expected to receive them February 11, 2026. Parade’s February 2026 ALDI Finds roundup reported the product and expected date.
Aldi Reviewer’s February 5, 2026 review reported a four-paczki package for $3.69 and characterized it as a limited-time ALDI Find. The review said stores should receive one shipment, but that is a report about the 2026 release pattern—not a guarantee for every store or future season. ALDI’s own product announcement was not available in the cited coverage.
Reported price and nutrition
Aldi Reviewer reported these figures for the 2026 product. Nutrition values are per pastry; check the package for the formulation and label information on any product you buy.

Why paczki are associated with Fat Tuesday
Pączki are rich, deep-fried doughnuts commonly filled with fruit or cream and finished with powdered sugar or icing. A 2025 feature in the Polish-American community newspaper Post Eagle describes the U.S. tradition of eating them before Lent begins on Ash Wednesday. In 2026, Ash Wednesday fell on February 18, the day after Fat Tuesday.

The calendar tradition differs by place: Post Eagle notes that pączki sales in Poland peak on Tłusty Czwartek, or Fat Thursday, earlier in the pre-Lenten season. These customs are related, but the U.S. Fat Tuesday observance is not the only pączki tradition.

Because the reported ALDI shipment was tied to a past seasonal date, shoppers looking now should check directly with nearby bakeries or stores rather than assume ALDI has stock. A local bakery is another possible source; availability, ordering policies and fillings vary by seller.
