Reese’s Peanut Butter Eggs were the top-selling Easter candy on Instacart during Easter week 2025, ranked by item share. Instacart says they led the national ranking for the fourth consecutive year and topped the rankings in 38 states.
What “most popular” means in Instacart’s ranking
Instacart published its report, Bunny Baskets & Seder Staples: Instacart’s Easter and Passover Trends, on March 20, 2026. The Easter candy findings are based on customer carts from April 14–20, 2025. The report therefore uses 2025 shopping data; it is not a ranking of candy purchases made in 2026.
Instacart ranks candies by item share in its customer orders. That makes Reese’s Peanut Butter Eggs the top-selling Easter candy on Instacart for the period measured—not necessarily the favorite in a consumer survey or the top seller across every retailer and sales channel in the United States.
State favorites show the national leader is not universal
Reese’s Peanut Butter Eggs led the item-share ranking in 38 states, according to Instacart. Other candies topped the company’s ranking in the following places:

These are Instacart order-data rankings, not a measure of what every resident in those places prefers. The report’s text also says chocolate dominates its top-candy graphic and names Sour Patch Kids, Starburst Jelly Beans, and Nerds among sour and fruity favorites, but does not provide their exact ranks. It is not possible to establish a full top 10 from the available text.
Jelly beans and Easter décor also spike seasonally
Instacart’s 2026 report says jelly beans were 863% above their yearly average on the platform during Easter week 2025. Easter décor—including baskets, grass, and plastic eggs—was 2,742% above its yearly average during the same period. These comparisons describe seasonal activity on Instacart, not growth across the entire U.S. market.
