The venue name matters. The expo was not documented as taking place at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center, and it should not be described as a Chinese government event. Attendance figures require attribution

Why the expo was called the seventh
The numbering does not represent seven consecutive annual events. Earlier editions were also held in Shenzhen, including a fourth expo reported for October 28–29, 2016. A 2017 edition was announced for May 6–7, while another event described in later coverage as the sixth China Forex Expo took place on December 8–9, 2017, at the same Great China International Exchange Square venue.
That history explains how the 2018 event could be called the seventh expo even though the series had not necessarily run once in every preceding calendar year.
