Best Buy’s U.S. Chromebook listings show discounts of up to $230, not $150. Prices and availability were checked against listings crawled on August 18, 2026; they can change, and pickup or delivery depends on your ZIP code. For the lowest price, consider the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 at $139. For a stronger everyday upgrade, the Acer Chromebook Plus 516 is $349; for a 14-inch Chromebook Plus with a Core i5, the ASUS CX34 is $529. These are recommendations based on listed specifications and customer ratings, not hands-on testing.
The shortlist below separates the deals by what you need, since the least expensive options have 4GB of RAM while several higher-priced models offer 8GB or 16GB. Check Best Buy’s Chromebook sale listings for current prices and offer details.

Prices, discounts, ratings, and specifications reflect Best Buy listings crawled August 18, 2026. Which Chromebook deal fits your budget and workload?
Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 Chromebook 14: best for spending as little as possible
At $139, the Slim 3 is the cheapest pick here, with a 14-inch Full HD display and a 4.6/5 rating from 286 reviews. Its MediaTek Kompanio 520, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of eMMC storage suit basic browser-based work rather than demanding multitasking. It is a reasonable fit for email, streaming, school portals, and a modest number of browser tabs; buyers who expect to keep many apps open should step up to an 8GB model.

The perfect combination of performance, power consumption, and value helps your device handle multitasking smoothly and reliably with four processing cores to divide up the work.

Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 3i Chromebook 12.2: best for a compact convertible
The Flex 3i is listed at $199 with a $230 saving, the largest markdown in this group, and a 4.6/5 rating from 467 reviews. Its Intel N100, 12.2-inch 2K touchscreen, and convertible format make it appealing for reading, note-taking, and travel. The 4GB RAM and 64GB eMMC are entry-level, and the compact screen gives you less room for split-screen work than a 14- or 16-inch laptop.

Acer Chromebook Plus 516: best value step-up for a larger screen
For $349, the Acer 516 offers an Intel Core i3-1315U, 8GB of RAM, 128GB of UFS storage, a 16-inch WUXGA screen, and Wi-Fi 6E. Best Buy lists a $130 saving and a 4.7/5 rating from 88 reviews. It is the shortlist’s clearest step up for multitasking and a roomier workspace without moving to a premium price. Its 16-inch chassis is less convenient to carry, and UFS is not the same storage technology as an SSD.

ASUS CX34 Chromebook Plus: best mainstream performance deal
The CX34 is listed at $529, $200 below Best Buy’s comparable value, and has a 4.8/5 rating from 100 reviews. The listed configuration pairs an Intel Core i5 with 8GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and a 14-inch Full HD display. It is a sensible choice for heavier browser workloads, video calls, and office-style productivity when the 4GB budget models feel too constrained. Best Buy’s listing describes the storage generically, so check the live specification for its exact technology before buying.

Lenovo Chromebook Plus 15.3: best for a big Chromebook Plus touchscreen
This $549.99 model combines an Intel Core 3 N355, 8GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and a 15.3-inch 2K touchscreen. Its listed discount is $79.01. Best Buy shows a 4.8/5 rating, but that score is based on only five reviews, so it is a much smaller sample than the ratings for several other picks. Consider it for home or desk use if screen space and Chromebook Plus features matter more than portability or the size of the discount.

Acer Chromebook Plus Spin 714: best premium convertible
The Spin 714 is listed at $679.99 with a $119.01 saving. Its Intel Core Ultra 5 115U, 8GB of RAM, 256GB SSD, and 14-inch WUXGA touchscreen make it the more flexible premium option for buyers who want a convertible and more local storage than the cheaper picks. Best Buy shows 4.3/5 from 117 reviews, below the ratings of the other models here. The sale listing references an “IST HUB” bundle or accessory; confirm what the exact offer includes rather than assuming the accessory comes with every configuration.

Lenovo Chromebook Plus 14 OLED: best display and memory configuration
At $679, the Lenovo OLED is the most generously equipped model in this shortlist: MediaTek Kompanio Ultra 910, 16GB of RAM, 256GB of UFS storage, and a 14-inch 2K OLED touchscreen. Best Buy lists a $70 saving and a 4.7/5 rating from 98 reviews. The combination suits buyers who value the screen and want more memory for multitasking, but it is an expensive choice for basic browsing or homework. OLED alone does not establish battery life, and the storage is UFS rather than SSD.

How to choose: RAM, storage, screen, and ChromeOS fit
Choose memory for the number of things you do at once
As a practical buying rule, 4GB is best reserved for lighter use: browsing, school portals, email, and streaming without many demanding tabs or apps open together. An 8GB configuration is a better baseline for multitasking. Sixteen gigabytes is appealing for heavier browser use or buyers who plan to keep a device for years, but this is buying guidance rather than a performance benchmark for these specific models.
Match storage to how much you keep offline
Cloud-first users may manage with 64GB, but that capacity leaves less room for downloaded media, Android apps, and files kept locally. At 128GB, general use is more comfortable; 256GB gives more room for offline files and downloads. The listed technologies differ: eMMC appears in the two entry-level models, UFS in the Acer 516 and Lenovo OLED, and SSD in the Spin 714. Capacity alone does not make those technologies interchangeable.
Decide whether you need a touchscreen or convertible hinge
A touchscreen is useful for direct interaction, and a convertible can fold into a tablet-like form for reading or note-taking. The Flex 3i and Spin 714 are the convertible choices in this list. If you mostly type at a desk, a standard laptop design may be a better use of your budget; if you need more workspace, consider the 16-inch Acer or 15.3-inch Lenovo rather than assuming a larger laptop will be as portable as a 12- or 14-inch model.

Know what Chromebook Plus does—and does not—tell you
Chromebook Plus is a useful category signal among these listings, which pair it with configurations such as 8GB or 16GB of memory and more storage than the cheapest models. Best Buy also advertises Google AI-related features on some listings. Do not assume every Chromebook Plus model has identical hardware or tools: check the specific configuration and feature eligibility on its product page.
Check whether ChromeOS supports your required workflow
Chromebooks are well suited to web browsing, Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail, Meet, Classroom, streaming, cloud-based work, and light web or Android app use. They may not support the full desktop version or workflow for specialized Windows or macOS software, including some professional creative, engineering, accounting, and high-end video-editing applications. Serious gaming and work that depends on substantial local offline storage can also call for a different kind of computer. Confirm compatibility with any must-have application before you buy.
What to verify on the Best Buy listing before checkout
- Exact configuration: Confirm the processor, memory, storage capacity and type, screen size, resolution, and touchscreen status. Product-family names can cover different configurations.
- Seller and condition: Check whether the offer is sold by Best Buy or a marketplace seller and whether it is new, refurbished, open-box, or bundled. Confirm the warranty and return terms shown for that specific offer.
- Price and discount basis: Treat the listed saving as a comparison to Best Buy’s displayed value, not as proof of a record-low price. Recheck the price at checkout.
- Stock and fulfillment: Delivery dates and store pickup vary by location and can change; enter your ZIP code to see the offer available to you.
- ChromeOS update support: Check the device’s update-support information if you expect to keep it for many years; the sale listing details here do not establish an end-of-support date.
- Included accessories: For listings that reference a bundle, verify precisely which items are included in the selected offer.
