No. Amazon ended Prime Invitee benefit sharing on October 1, 2025. People who used a separate account to receive a Prime member’s shared delivery benefit should no longer expect free Prime delivery through that invitation. Amazon’s stated alternatives are to join the member’s Amazon Family if they meet its household rules, or get their own Prime membership.
What changed when Prime Invitee ended?
Prime Invitee previously let a Prime member share the delivery benefit with people who did not live at the member’s primary address. Amazon says sharing through the program ended on October 1, 2025, and Invitees lost access to that shared Prime delivery benefit. Amazon’s current help page describes the change and the available household alternative.
The change applies to the Invitee’s own account and its shared delivery entitlement. It does not prevent a Prime member from ordering an item and having it shipped to a friend’s or relative’s address. Sending a package to another address is not the same as giving that recipient Prime benefits on their own account.
Can you still use someone else’s Prime for free shipping?
Not through Prime Invitee. If you do not live in the Prime member’s household, Amazon’s stated replacement route—Amazon Family—does not fit the eligibility described on its help page. The remaining option Amazon names for a former Invitee is an individual membership.

Who can share benefits through Amazon Family?
Amazon says a Prime member can share specified benefits with one other adult in their household, up to four teens who were added before April 7, 2025, and up to four child profiles. The teen cutoff is part of Amazon’s stated rule; it should not be read as permission to add new teens now.
Amazon lists these benefits for sharing, subject to the program’s terms:

Amazon Family or an individual membership?
| Option | Eligibility | Cost arrangement | Account and benefits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Amazon Family | One other adult in the Prime member’s household; teen and child profiles are subject to Amazon’s stated rules. | The household shares benefits through the Prime member; Amazon’s cited help page does not state a separate price for the added household member. | Specified shared benefits under Amazon Family rules, rather than a transfer of every Prime feature. |
| Individual Prime membership | Sign up for a separate membership, subject to Amazon’s current availability and eligibility terms. | Check Amazon’s live membership page for the price and any trial eligibility in your location. | A separate subscription governed by the terms of the individual membership. |
For someone outside the household, the practical choice is whether the value of delivery and other benefits they expect to use justifies the current individual membership price. Amazon’s membership overview is at Amazon Prime Membership. Prices, trials, and availability can change, so confirm the current terms before signing up.

Is the old $14.99 offer still available?
No. The Associated Press reported in September 2025 that Amazon had announced a limited $14.99 first-year offer during the transition, available through December 31, 2025. That was a historical promotion, not a current price or an ongoing Invitee-specific deal. The AP report covered the offer at the time.

What former Invitees should do
- Check household eligibility. If you live in the Prime member’s household, ask them whether they can add you through Amazon Family under the current rules.
- If you are outside the household, compare costs. Review the live membership price and benefits for your location, then compare them with your expected use.
- Keep delivery addresses separate from sharing rights. A member may still be able to ship an order to your address, but that does not restore Prime delivery on your separate account.
