Its product descriptions and prices are historical, not a current shopping list. For someone who has everything, the best starting point is what they will genuinely use—not the highest price tag.
What the 2024 guide includes
Stuff published its roundup on 18 December 2024. The descriptions below reflect that guide; they are not independent product tests, and availability, model status and prices may have changed. The guide disclosed that it may earn affiliate commission from purchases made through its links.
| Gift | What the guide highlighted | Fit to consider |
|---|---|---|
| Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra | Robot vacuum and mop with a dock; the guide listed 10,000 Pa suction, dual rollers, corner-reaching brush and mop, sonic mopping, obstacle recognition and LiDAR navigation. | Potentially useful for someone who wants automated floor care. Check floor types, home layout, dock space and maintenance needs. |
| Ninja Luxe Café | Coffee machine for espresso, filter coffee and cold brew, with Barista Assist settings, built-in grinder and scale, hands-free milk frothing and cup warmer. | A better match for a coffee enthusiast than someone who prefers simple, low-maintenance brewing. Consider counter space and cleaning. |
| Tormek T-1 Kitchen Knife Sharpener | Swedish-designed home sharpener with low RPM, angle setting, fine-grained diamond wheel, knife-size guide and honing wheel. Stuff listed it at £330 in December 2024. | For someone who cooks and values knife care. Confirm the recipient wants a sharpening tool and understands its use. |
| ENGWE L20 E-bike | Foldable fat-tire electric bike; the guide described a 1125W peak motor, 52V 13Ah battery, up to 28 mph pedal-assist speed and front and rear suspension. It listed $999 / €1,049. | Check local rules, rider fit, storage, weight and charging arrangements before considering an e-bike as a gift. |
| Apple iPhone 16 Pro Max | The 2024 pick was described with an A18 Pro chip, 5x optical zoom camera and physical Capture Button. | Confirm the recipient wants this model, its size and operating system, and whether their carrier and accessories are compatible. It is a 2024 model, not a claim about the current generation. |
| TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Extreme Sport | 44 mm Grade 2 titanium watch with black PVD finish, ceramic bezel and TH20-00 movement. Stuff listed it at $8,200 / £7,150. | Watch size, style and wearing habits are highly personal; a high price does not guarantee a good fit. |
| Asus Zenbook S 14 | The guide described a 1.1 cm, 1.2 kg laptop with Core Ultra processors, a 3K 120 Hz OLED display, four-speaker audio, Wi-Fi 7 and several ports. | Check the exact configuration and whether its operating system, ports and software fit the recipient’s work or study. |
| Bang & Olufsen Beoplay H100 | Headphones described with titanium drivers, noise cancellation, Dolby Atmos optimization, modular user-replaceable parts and up to 38 hours of battery life. | Consider comfort, listening habits and device compatibility; the guide’s battery figure is a product claim, not an independently verified result here. |
| Leica M11-D | Screen-free digital rangefinder described with a 60 MP full-frame sensor, ISO 50–64,000, 256 GB storage and compatibility with M lenses dating from 1954. | Most appropriate for a committed photographer who wants a rangefinder workflow. Check lens compatibility and whether a screen-free camera suits them. |
| Gozney x Hedley & Bennett Arc XL | Pizza oven described as reaching 500°C and fitting 16-inch pizzas, with insulated construction and removable stone floor. Stuff listed it at $849.99 / £749.99. | Consider outdoor space, fuel, storage, local conditions and the recipient’s appetite for setup and cleaning. |
All listed prices in the table are those reported by Stuff in its December 2024 guide. They are not current quotes; the article did not provide a comparable current price for most items.
How to choose a luxury gift that will be used
Start with an existing interest
A specialist camera, sharpener or espresso machine can be memorable when it extends a hobby the recipient already enjoys. Buying into a new hobby on their behalf is riskier: expensive equipment can become an obligation if the person does not want the learning curve.

Check fit before spending
- Compatibility: Verify phone carrier, laptop software, camera lenses, accessories and any required ecosystem.
- Space and size: Measure for appliances, a pizza oven or a robot-vacuum dock; consider whether a watch, headphones or bike suit the recipient physically and practically.
- Ownership: Find out tactfully whether they already own the model or an equivalent they prefer.
- Upkeep: Account for cleaning, consumables, repairs, charging and storage. The gift’s ongoing demands matter as much as its purchase price.
- Region: Confirm local availability, voltage or configuration where relevant, shipping, warranty coverage and applicable rules—especially for an e-bike.
Consider an experience instead of another possession
If the recipient has little use for more equipment, an activity or shared experience may be a better fit. The sources cited here do not verify particular experience providers, so choose and check one locally rather than relying on a generic recommendation.
Luxury gifts beyond gadgets
Luxury gifting is broader than the Stuff roundup. Haute Living’s 2024 guide covered watches, handbags, jewelry, luggage, fashion, shoes, beauty, home décor, books, spirits and games. Its historical examples included a Louis Vuitton Men’s Keepall Bandoulière 50 at $2,780, a Vacheron Constantin Overseas Dual Time in pink gold at $75,500, a FENDI Peekaboo ISeeU Petite at $5,700, a Gucci suitcase at $4,100 and a Tiffany HardWear Large Link bracelet at $26,000. Those are source-time guide prices, not current offers.

Other sources show how different the category can be. Sotheby’s gift guide includes watches, handbags and accessories, fine art, jewelry, sneakers, dining and serveware, and decorative arts; its listings and prices can change. Tiffany’s US holiday page organizes jewelry around Lock and Knot collections, with page prices reviewed on 7 October 2026 ranging from $1,500 for a Tiffany Knot yellow-gold ring to $47,000 for a fully pavé Lock bangle. Neiman Marcus’s 2024 guide ranged across apparel, skincare, home accessories, bags, cashmere, children’s gifts and jewelry. These examples demonstrate choice, not that any one category suits every recipient.

Holiday guides are snapshots. A model may have been replaced, a listing may have changed, and a quoted regional price may no longer apply. Before ordering, verify the exact model, configuration, price, stock, delivery timing, returns and warranty with the maker or retailer serving the recipient’s region.
