Great American Cookies’ buy-one-get-one cookie cake slice
Great American Cookies advertised buy one Chocolate Chip Cookie Cake Slice, get one free in-store at participating locations on April 15. TheStreet said no promo code was necessary. This was a purchase-required BOGO offer, not a free cookie with no conditions.

How to interpret the “free” offers
Several promotions required another purchase or an eligible account. For instance, Krispy Kreme’s free second dozen required buying a dozen, and tax on that second dozen still applied. The cookie cake slice deal was BOGO, while the BK cheeseburger required Royal Perks membership and a $1 minimum purchase. App-only, code-based, in-store-only, and participating-location restrictions also applied to various offers, as shown above.

Dunkin’s newsroom described a separate $1 medium hot or iced coffee offer for DD Perks members on Monday, April 15, 2024. It required payment with an enrolled gift card or loyalty QR code and excluded drinks including Cold Brew. That was a 2024 promotion, not one of the Tax Day 2025 deals.
