The best beer subscription depends on how much say you want over the box: Beer Drop lets you set style preferences and edit a shipment, The Original Craft Beer Club sends a pre-curated assortment, and Tavour lets you choose individual beers. Before paying, check whether the service delivers to the recipient’s address, add shipping to the advertised price, and plan for an adult to sign for the alcohol.
Compare the beer clubs by how you choose your beer
| Service | How selection works | Price and shipping information available | Best fit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Beer Drop | Set style preferences, receive personalized recommendations, and customize a drop before it ships. This is not a guarantee that you can request a particular beer or brewery. | Beer Drop’s product page displayed 8 beers from $29.99, 10 from $37.49, and 12 from $44.99; it showed $9.99 shipping alongside the 10-beer price. Confirm the exact tier and fee at checkout. Beer Drop | Shoppers who want style-level personalization without choosing every beer. |
| The Original Craft Beer Club | Monthly shipments are pre-curated with four styles from U.S. small breweries. You can choose a theme or a one-time style box, but not the individual beers in a monthly shipment. | Its FAQ lists monthly subscription shipments of 12 or 24 beers, with shipping of $17 or $34 respectively. Separately, the home page displayed some one-time curated boxes from $54.95 with free shipping. These are different offers; verify the total for the specific product. The Original Craft Beer Club and its FAQ | People who prefer an easy, preselected monthly assortment or a themed one-time box. |
| Tavour | Browse new beers featured daily and build a custom box, or opt into a subscription that automatically selects highly rated beers based on taste. | Tavour’s official page describes flat-fee delivery but does not state the current fee there. A June 2026 comparison reports delivery is limited to a subset of states. Check eligibility and full delivered cost in the app or checkout. These prices and terms are the figures displayed on vendor pages reviewed in October 2026, except where the June 2026 comparison is identified. They can change. A cost per beer is not useful unless you have the complete price, including shipping, for the exact plan and shipment; the figures available here do not establish that total consistently across all three services.
Which subscription model suits you?
Choose Beer Drop for preferences and some box control
Beer Drop is the middle ground between a fixed assortment and building a crate beer by beer. Its style preferences and recommendations can help steer the shipment, and you can adjust a drop before it ships. If you care about a particular brewery, label, or exact beer, confirm that it can be selected rather than assuming the personalization guarantees it.
Choose The Original Craft Beer Club for curation
The monthly club is the set-and-forget option: the company selects a rotating mix rather than asking you to pick each can or bottle. Its separate one-time boxes let you shop by style or theme, which may be a better gift when you want a single shipment instead of an ongoing plan. Do not use a one-time box’s displayed price to estimate a subscription bill.

Choose Tavour for individual discovery
Tavour is the most hands-on model. You can browse its daily selection and assemble a custom box, rather than receiving a conventional fixed monthly assortment. Its optional subscription is a different choice: Tavour selects beers for you based on taste. Compare the crate’s actual contents and delivered total with the subscription before deciding.
Check delivery eligibility and signature requirements first
Alcohol delivery depends on destination rules and the seller’s service area. Check the recipient’s exact address in the live signup or checkout flow before purchasing; a state-level assumption may not be enough. Beer Drop says eligibility is determined by ZIP code during signup and that it does not ship outside the continental United States. The Original Craft Beer Club also says it does not ship outside the continental U.S., excludes P.O. boxes, and requires an adult aged 21 or older to sign. Tavour’s exact current state list is not stated on the cited official page, so verify the address directly.

- 5oz Mini Beer Glasses - Set of 6 mason pilsner glasses in a smaller 5oz size. The tasting glasses are tulip shaped and have a unique embossed design. Perfect for beer tastings, drink samplers, beer chasers, parties, celebrations, home bars and birthday gifts.
- Embossed Mason Jar Design - Each small glass holds 5oz (150mls) and has the words "Mason Shooter" embossed onto one side. The glasses are similar in proportion to beer pint glasses making them the perfect beer flight glasses.
- Great for Gifts & Celebrations – Each beer glass set is packaged in an attractive kraft box for gift giving. The 5 oz glasses are fun and unique making them ideal for Christmas, weddings and birthdays. These novelty flight glasses are both functional and original and make perfect gifts for those hard to buy friends, family members and co workers.
- Thick Premium Glass - These are tough, sturdy beer glasses that will not break easily and are designed to be long lasting and durable. They are also dishwasher safe, lead free and BPA free.
- Unique - A mix of a beer shape design with a mason glass feel gives these sampler glasses a distinctive and fun appearance.
Plan for an adult signature and make sure someone eligible can accept the package. If the recipient will be away, a beer subscription can become an inconvenient gift even when the address is served.
How to compare the real cost and commitment
- Choose the exact offer. Distinguish recurring monthly subscriptions from one-time gift boxes and custom crates. Similar-looking pages may describe different shipment schedules and shipping terms.
- Check the delivered total for that offer. Add shipping and any other charges shown at checkout to the beer price, and note the number of beers in that shipment. For The Original Craft Beer Club, the FAQ states subscription shipping of $17 for 12 beers or $34 for 24; the displayed $54.95 starting price with free shipping applies to some one-time boxes, not necessarily a monthly plan.
- Confirm ongoing-plan terms before enrolling. Review the live checkout or account terms for skip, pause, cancellation timing, and any prepayment requirement. The cited pages do not establish current details for every service, so do not assume all plans are cancel-any-time or billed monthly.
- For a gift, verify the schedule and recipient logistics. Check whether you are buying a gift card, one-time box, or recurring plan, and whether the recipient can be present to sign. Do not assume a gift plan follows the same billing or shipment terms as a regular subscription.
What to know about Microbrewed Beer of the Month Club
A June 2026 independent comparison describes domestic, imported, mixed, and rare tracks and a tasting panel for Microbrewed Beer of the Month Club. Those details are not confirmed here by current vendor terms, and the available directory listing does not establish current plans, prices, shipping, or service availability. Treat it as a possible alternative to investigate, not a like-for-like recommendation: verify its current offer and delivery eligibility with the company before ordering.
