What is known about performer pay
Neither CBS News nor TIME reported individual contracts, negotiated fees, days worked or verified totals for the Super Bowl LX artists. The daily figures are attributed estimates of general halftime-artist union scale, not a flat appearance fee or proof of what Bad Bunny personally received. Without artist-specific terms and work schedules, there is no reliable way to calculate a total.

Green Day opened the anniversary ceremony marking 60 years of Super Bowl history. The Associated Press identified the band’s members as Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt and Tré Cool. The AP also reported that Charlie Puth performed the national anthem, Brandi Carlile performed “America the Beautiful,” and Coco Jones performed “Lift Every Voice and Sing.” Associated Press
Halftime artist pay is not the same as dancer pay
SAG-AFTRA’s 2025 Network Television Code covers July 1, 2025, through August 30, 2028, and its first general wage increase took effect July 6, 2025. The union says dancers on the Super Bowl Halftime Show are paid in the same manner as dancers on awards programs longer than 60 minutes, a change that substantially increases minimum compensation. The NFL typically covers artists’ expenses, which CBS News reported can run into the millions of dollars. TIME, citing NFL communications vice president Brian McCarthy, said the league covers production costs. Those are expenses associated with staging the show—not evidence that an artist was paid millions or received that amount personally. CBS News TIME
