Pinterest announced on October 5, 2026, that James Dibbo will become its chief financial officer on October 26. He will report to CEO Bill Ready and lead a global finance organization that includes investor relations, corporate development and workplace operations, after most recently overseeing finance for Amazon’s entertainment, advertising and corporate development portfolio.
When does James Dibbo become Pinterest CFO?
Pinterest said Dibbo’s appointment takes effect October 26, 2026. He will succeed Julia Brau Donnelly, who is expected to remain as an adviser through October 30 to support the transition. The announcement was made October 5, so the effective date is still ahead as of October 7.
What will Dibbo oversee at Pinterest?
Reporting to CEO Bill Ready, Dibbo will lead Pinterest’s global finance organization. The remit extends beyond accounting and financial planning to several functions that inform how a public company manages capital, communicates with investors and develops its business.
- Finance, accounting, and financial planning and analysis (FP&A)
- Investor relations, treasury and tax
- Business and corporate development
- Internal audit and workplace
That scope brings core financial controls and planning together with investor communications and development work under the CFO.

What did he lead at Amazon?
Pinterest says Dibbo served from January 2021 through September 2026 as Amazon’s vice president and CFO for Global Entertainment, Advertising and Corporate Development. His finance remit included Amazon Ads, Prime Video, Amazon MGM Studios, Music, Audible and Twitch, alongside corporate development work across Amazon’s portfolio.
Before that role, he held senior finance positions at Amazon dating from 2016, including CFO of Worldwide Consumer and CFO of North America Consumer. The roles span both consumer operations and a portfolio of advertising and entertainment businesses.

What is Dibbo’s finance background?
Before joining Amazon, Dibbo was CFO of P.F. Chang’s and held senior finance leadership roles at Tesco and BT Group. He began his career at PwC in London. Pinterest says he earned a B.S. in Economics from Cardiff University and is a Chartered Accountant (FCA).
