It produced 2,954 vehicles, saying it was aligning output with near-term demand and reducing inventory. Those are the company’s stated reasons; the release does not provide enough detail to independently measure demand or identify which models drove the year-over-year delivery change.
Lucid’s Q3 2026 production and deliveries
In its October 5, 2026 announcement, Lucid reported 3,806 vehicle deliveries and 2,954 vehicles produced for the quarter ended September 30. Production and deliveries are different measures: production counts vehicles made during the quarter, while deliveries count vehicles handed to customers.

How deliveries compare with Q3 2025 and Q2 2026
Year over year
Lucid delivered 272 fewer vehicles in Q3 2026 than in Q3 2025. Calculated from the company’s published totals, (3,806 − 4,078) ÷ 4,078 is approximately −6.67%, or a 6.7% decline when rounded to one decimal place. That percentage is a calculation from the reported figures, not a separately quoted company statistic.
Quarter over quarter
Compared with Q2 2026, Q3 deliveries were lower by 147 vehicles, while production was lower by 1,820 vehicles. Lucid said deliveries exceeded production in Q3 as it drew down existing inventory. The delivery figure therefore should not be read as a direct match for vehicles produced during the quarter.

Why Lucid said it cut production
Lucid described the lower output as part of an operating reset. The company said it was aligning production with near-term demand and reducing inventory. Its release also connected the sequential production decline with the previously announced elimination of a second shift at its AMP-1 factory in June.
That is management’s explanation, not an independently measured account of demand. Lucid said Gravity demand continued to regain momentum, but it did not publish model-level delivery totals in this announcement. The figures therefore do not establish which vehicle model drove the year-over-year decline, nor do they quantify demand changes across Lucid’s lineup or the broader EV market.

Production and delivery totals provide a snapshot of operating activity, but they are not Lucid’s complete Q3 financial results. The company cautioned that these figures are only one measure of operating performance and should not be relied on as sole indicators of quarterly financial results, which depend on multiple factors. Lucid said net income, cash flow and its other financial performance would be announced with its full Q3 results; the earnings call was scheduled for November 9, 2026.
