U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded a reported $241.08 million in net inflows for the trading week of September 28 through October 2, 2026, extending a positive streak to three weeks. The weekly total was far below the $2.39 billion reported for the preceding five sessions, and fund-level results varied sharply.
What the $241 million figure covers
Bitcoin.com News reported that U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs had $241.08 million in net inflows from September 28 through October 2, 2026, citing SoSoValue data. Bitcoin Magazine separately reported more than $241 million in purchases on October 5 and credited Farside Investors. The reports agree on the rounded headline; the figures here are attributed to those reports, rather than presented as a fresh calculation from the underlying tracker tables. Bitcoin Magazine’s October 5 report and Bitcoin.com News’ October 5 report provide their respective accounts.
This is a weekly figure, not an October-to-date total. The reports described it as the third consecutive week of net inflows.
Inflows slowed sharply from the prior week
Bitcoin.com News reported $2.39 billion in net inflows across the preceding five sessions, compared with $241.08 million for September 28–October 2. That is a substantial week-over-week slowdown, even though the latest reported total remained positive. The comparison uses the periods and figures reported by Bitcoin.com News, which attributes them to SoSoValue. Read its weekly-flow report.

- BITCOIN EXCLUSIVE, PHONE VERIFICATION: Bitkey is designed from the ground up exclusively for bitcoin — a dedicated hardware wallet for secure bitcoin storage. Approve transactions with a tap using your phone and NFC. No device screen is required.
- SELF-CUSTODY, NO EXCHANGE OR CUSTODIAN REQUIRED: You hold two of the three keys in the Bitkey system – one on your phone and one on your Bitkey device. The third is stored on Bitkey’s server and cannot move your bitcoin on its own.
- NO SEED PHRASE: Set up and use Bitkey without creating or storing a seed phrase.
- 2-of-3 MULTISIG: Three keys are stored separately across your phone, Bitkey device, and Bitkey’s server. Any two keys are required to move your bitcoin.
- BUILT-IN RECOVERY: Encrypted backup and recovery tools can help you regain access if you lose your phone or Bitkey device. You can also designate a Recovery Contact.
One fund’s gains outweighed outflows elsewhere
The aggregate concealed diverging fund results. Bitcoin.com News’ account of SoSoValue’s weekly figures reported the following net flows for the week ending October 2:
| Fund | Reported weekly net flow |
|---|---|
| BlackRock IBIT | +$450.18 million |
| Fidelity FBTC | −$167.94 million |
| Grayscale GBTC | −$54.58 million |
| Bitwise BITB | −$38.65 million |
IBIT’s reported inflow exceeded the category’s $241.08 million net total because several funds had outflows. These fund-level figures are as reported by Bitcoin.com News, citing SoSoValue, not independently recalculated here. See the fund breakdown.

September’s monthly total is a different measure
Bitcoin.com News reported $2.65 billion in net inflows for September, calling it the second-largest monthly result since October 2025. That is a calendar-month figure; it should not be added to, or substituted for, the separate $241.08 million reported for September 28–October 2. The September figure and comparison are also attributed to SoSoValue through Bitcoin.com News.

“Uptober” is a market nickname for October, not evidence that Bitcoin will rise during the month. The reported ETF flows establish neither a seasonal forecast nor that ETF activity caused a particular Bitcoin price move. A positive weekly net flow means reported creations exceeded redemptions across the covered funds for that period; it does not, by itself, demonstrate investor conviction, establish a price floor, or predict what happens next.

The latest report therefore supports a narrow conclusion: U.S. spot Bitcoin ETF flows remained positive for a third reported week, but were much smaller than the prior week’s total and were concentrated unevenly across funds. Whether October flows stay positive cannot be answered by this one weekly result.
