Was there an AO.com code for £450 off in May 2026?
There is not enough dated evidence to confirm a general £450 AO.com code for May 2026. The £450 listings available are later, product-specific claims—not proof of an offer that applied across AO or was valid in May.
For example, Couponio listed £450 off Siemens bean-to-cup coffee machine orders at AO.com, last verified on 29 September 2026, with an expiry date of 2 October 2026. TrustDeals also displayed a £450 claim for a Bosch Series 8 American fridge freezer on a September 2026 page. Neither establishes a May promotion, and neither should be treated as a sitewide saving. Couponio’s dated listing and TrustDeals’ listing are third-party claims.
A Groupon page labelled May 2026 listed £160 off a Smeg dual-fuel range cooker, with a displayed expiry date of 3 June 2026. The page also included entries with December 2025 expiry dates, so its date label and offer table are not authoritative confirmation that a particular code worked. How AO discount codes work
AO’s terms say codes are available for limited periods, depend on availability, and can be withdrawn. Restrictions may limit a code to selected products. A code may apply to an entire order or just a particular item, so check the offer terms against the exact appliance and model before relying on the advertised amount. AO’s terms and conditions set out these restrictions.
- Only one discount code can be used per order.
- A code cannot be combined with AO Price Match.
- A new-customer offer described in AO’s guidance applies to an individual item costing £299 or more, but such promotions may be withdrawn and have an expiry date. Do not assume a registration offer is always available.

How to check whether a code actually saves you money
- Check the product and offer terms. Confirm that the code applies to the exact model and that the offer has not expired. Note any minimum spend, exclusions, and whether the advertised saving is an instant discount or cashback.
- Compare the full cost. Check delivery and service charges as well as the item price, and decide whether the code or an available Price Match is the better option. AO does not allow a discount code to be combined with its Price Match.
- Enter the code in the basket. AO says codes are entered in the basket. Check that the discount appears in the order summary and that the total changes before paying; AO says a code cannot be added after the order is placed.
- Record cashback or manufacturer-promotion deadlines. Read the offer’s own claim instructions. AO gives an example of a cashback form due within 14 days, with payment within 45 days; those timings are an example on its guidance page, not a rule for every promotion.
Cashback, manufacturer offers and trade-ins are different
A displayed saving may not be an instant discount code. AO says eligible cashback and manufacturer offers are identified on product pages and may have their own claim windows and steps. Check whether you must submit a form or claim directly from the manufacturer, and note the deadline before buying.
For trade-in, AO says the old appliance must be the same type as the replacement. It must also be disconnected, empty and defrosted before collection. Check the specific offer terms for any other eligibility conditions.

Use AO’s product page and promotion terms to establish what applies to your order. A third-party coupon listing can point you toward a possible deal, but its headline amount and date do not establish AO eligibility. If the saving does not appear in your basket total—or the terms do not clearly cover your product—do not assume it will be applied later.
