Check Point has hired Chris Moore as vice president of worldwide channel, with a stated goal of bringing more partners into security areas beyond the company’s firewall business. In a CRN interview, Moore framed that effort as essential to expanding Check Point’s broader security platform: “Everybody talks about platformization, but there’s no platformization without partners.”
What Moore is being asked to change
Check Point is widely perceived as a firewall vendor, Moore said, and his remit is to build on that base by engaging partners in more parts of the company’s security portfolio. CRN describes Moore as a veteran channel executive whose previous roles included CyberArk, Qlik, Veeam Software and HPE. He most recently led global channels at CyberArk, a role he began in 2020.
Moore’s argument is that a broader platform depends on partners being able to sell, deliver and support more than firewall products. “We’re 100 percent in,” he said of Check Point’s commitment to partners. Those statements describe his position and the company’s stated direction; they do not establish that partners have already expanded their business or improved results.
Where Check Point sees partner opportunity beyond firewalls
Moore named SASE (secure access service edge), hybrid mesh, multi-cloud, AI security, email protection, cloud security and exposure management as areas relevant to platform expansion and partner enablement. He described SASE and hybrid mesh as especially promising adjacencies because they can extend work that firewall-focused partners already do.

Moore also recounted which subjects came up in conversations with partners he had recently spoken with: hybrid mesh, SASE and AI were common themes, while workspace, email and exposure management arose less often. This is his account of those conversations, not a representative survey or a measure of market demand.
Adjacent offerings: SASE and hybrid mesh
For partners already working with customers on firewalls, Moore presents SASE and hybrid mesh as comparatively natural extensions. The interview does not specify product bundles, required certifications, implementation steps or partner economics, so partners would need those details before assessing the practical fit for their businesses.

Broader enablement: AI, cloud, email and exposure management
AI security, multi-cloud and cloud security, email protection, workspace and exposure management widen the range of capabilities Moore says the platform and partner strategy should address. His account suggests these areas were not raised as often in his recent partner conversations as SASE, hybrid mesh and AI, but it does not quantify interest or define the training and technical support Check Point will provide.
Recurring services: managed security
Moore identified managed security services as a priority and said updates intended to help managed service partners were forthcoming. The interview does not specify what those updates involve, when they will arrive or what program terms will apply. As a result, the strategic emphasis is clear, but the operational offer for service providers remains undefined in the interview.

What Check Point says it plans to do for partners
Moore outlined a partner approach that links enablement and program design to Check Point’s stated platform pillars. He said the company plans to identify partners ready to expand and invest more deeply in selected partners and areas. He also emphasized operational transparency and partner profitability as priorities.
- Enable partners around the company’s stated security pillars.
- Shape the partner program to support those pillars.
- Identify partners positioned to move into additional areas and invest more deeply in selected partners and categories.
- Develop managed security services and forthcoming support for managed service partners.
These are stated plans and priorities, not evidence of completed program changes or demonstrated partner outcomes. The interview does not provide specific incentives, investment amounts, profitability data or launch dates.

How to interpret the channel-sales claim
CRN reports Moore’s statement that Check Point derives 100 percent of its sales through the channel. The interview supplies no calculation, definition of “through the channel” or independent verification, so the figure should be treated as a company claim reported by CRN—not as an independently established measurement.
What the announcement means for partners
The appointment signals an effort to broaden partner activity from Check Point’s established firewall business into adjacent and additional security categories. For firewall-focused partners, SASE and hybrid mesh are the clearest extensions Moore highlighted. For partners considering AI, cloud, email, exposure management or managed services, the interview identifies strategic areas of interest but leaves the specific enablement, program terms and timing unsettled.
