How to interpret the cheapest listed price
The lowest figure is a comparison point, not a promise that a seat is currently available or that every supporter can buy it. Clubs may set prices by seat location, age category, renewal status, new-holder eligibility, family area, or premium tier. Compare like with like: the same season, adult category, seat band and buyer status. The figures above are not established as an all-in cost comparison, so do not assume that every club’s price covers an identical package or includes the same fees.

Cheapest band versus common seat
Brentford illustrates why an entry price can differ from the price many supporters encounter. SeatPick lists £460 as the club’s cheapest adult option, while Brentford’s official announcement listed £495 for its most common adult Band B. Brentford also gave Band B prices of £135 for juniors and children, £375 for fans aged 65 and over, and £330 for fans aged 18–24. The figures refer to different categories of seat or buyer, rather than necessarily conflicting prices. See Brentford’s 2024/25 pricing announcement.
Southampton’s reported increase
SeatPick reports a 26.4% rise for Southampton’s cheapest listed adult option, the largest increase in its comparison. Southampton’s own announcement described an average increase of around 15% and gave specified-area prices of £479 for adult renewals and £499 for new holders. Those are different measures and should not be treated as interchangeable. The club said prices depend on where a supporter sits; details are in its 2024/25 pricing information.

What clubs said about increases
Liverpool FC announced a 2% rise for 2024/25 and said that it amounted to less than £1 per game for season-ticket holders. The club also said Anfield’s annual operating costs had increased by nearly 40% over the preceding six years. These are Liverpool’s statements about its pricing and costs, not an independent assessment of the club’s rationale. Read the Liverpool FC announcement.

Why some price reports appear to disagree
Prices and reporting dates matter. The Guardian’s article published on 12 April 2024 said Manchester United had informed season-ticket holders of a rise but had not publicly released 2024/25 prices at that point. SeatPick’s later comparison lists £579 as United’s cheapest adult option. The earlier report and later table are snapshots from different dates, not evidence that the same price was simultaneously published in both places. See The Guardian’s 12 April 2024 report.

There is also a difference between a club’s lowest entry price and its most expensive ticket tier. SeatPick says Fulham’s options started at £619 and lists £3,000 as the league’s highest season-ticket option. The £3,000 figure is a maximum option, not Fulham’s cheapest price; Arsenal’s £1,073 is the highest cheapest-entry price in the table.

The table covers 2024/25, so anyone planning to attend should check the club’s official ticket page for current prices, availability, eligibility and membership requirements. The Premier League says tickets from unofficial sources risk being void, and the buyer may be refused admission. It also notes that priority access and membership rules differ by club. Digital access can differ by club
Southampton said its 2024/25 season tickets would be digital in a club app, with physical season cards discontinued. It said transfers to friends and family would be free and an alternative entry method would be available where needed. This was Southampton’s policy for that season, not a league-wide rule.
