Pakistan’s federal cabinet approved the formation of a 17-member Prime Minister’s Task Force on IT and Telecom at its October 25, 2018 meeting. The task force was chaired by then Information Technology and Telecommunication Minister Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui. A Ministry of IT notification dated November 5 recorded the approval, according to Dawn’s report published November 15, 2018.

Who chaired the task force?
Information Technology and Telecommunication Minister Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui chaired the 17-member group, as reported by Dawn.
Who was named as a member?
Dawn identified several members and their roles at the time. Its report gives notable names, not a complete roster.
