Aaron Rodgers and Danica Patrick bought the Malibu beachfront home for a reported $28 million in 2019. Published accounts describe a three-story main house, a separate two-bedroom guesthouse and a bluff-top site that descends toward the beach. Realtor.com later reported that the property was listed for $39.5 million in August 2026; that was an asking price, not a confirmed sale or current valuation.

What the Malibu property is reported to include

This is a tour assembled from published descriptions and listing coverage, not a firsthand visit. The Los Angeles Times described a tan, clay-tile-roofed villa on a long, narrow parcel running from a bluff down to the sand. The property has two buildings: a three-story main residence and a separate guesthouse with two bedrooms. A pool sits between the structures, while decks face the ocean and landscaping covers much of the hillside.

The main house

The Los Angeles Times reported four bedrooms and four bathrooms in the main house, along with a living room, dining area and gourmet kitchen arranged in an open plan. Its account also noted a family room, office and den, concrete floors, glass walls and wood accents. A large deck extends from the main suite.

Architectural Digest’s October 2023 overview described the home as a Mediterranean Revival-style villa and gave its size as 4,636 square feet. That account also mentioned direct beach access, a private main-suite deck, a pool and a fire pit with wraparound seating. These are the publication’s descriptions, rather than measurements or features independently verified here.

The guesthouse and outdoor areas

The separate guesthouse is reported as a two-bedroom space, also associated with a garage. Together, the main home and guesthouse were described in Realtor.com’s August 2026 listing coverage as six bedrooms across the property. That article reported the primary home at 4,625 square feet, rather than Architectural Digest’s 4,636-square-foot figure. The publications do not establish why their reported areas differ, so the measurements should be treated as date- and source-specific rather than combined into a definitive figure.

The setting is a defining part of the property’s published description: ocean-facing decks, a pool between the buildings and a narrow, landscaped slope down to the beach. The Los Angeles Times described resort-style decks and dense hillside planting; Architectural Digest also noted direct beach access.

Interior details in the later listing coverage

Realtor.com reported in August 2026 that the property had undergone extensive renovation. Its account of the listing described warm wood, concrete, Venetian plaster, bespoke details, expansive windows framing ocean views and disappearing glass walls. It also mentioned an open-plan kitchen with a marble island, balconies, a home gym and a family room. These details come from Realtor.com’s reporting of listing material, not an independent inspection.

The listing description quoted by Realtor.com called the property a remodeled four-bedroom main residence and two-bedroom guesthouse, and presented its design as connecting indoor spaces with the Pacific-facing setting. That promotional description should be read as the seller’s listing language, not as an independent architectural assessment.

Why the headline price is $28 million—and what came later

The $28 million figure is the purchase price reported by the Los Angeles Times, not a verified estimate of what the home is worth today. The paper said Rodgers and Patrick’s purchase closed in November 2019. Its account traced earlier reported transactions: Ted Sarandos and Nicole Avant bought the property for $20.25 million in 2017, then sold it to British singer Robbie Williams for $21.25 million in 2018; Williams later sold it to Rodgers and Patrick.

Realtor.com reported on August 13, 2026, that Rodgers had listed the property for $39.5 million. That is an asking price reported by that outlet, not evidence of a completed sale, an appraisal or a present-day market value. Realtor.com said the listing was held by Chad Pittman of W Real Estate and that the listing description did not identify the owner as a celebrity.

What was reported about the home during the 2025 wildfires

On January 16, 2025, the Associated Press reported that Rodgers said his Malibu-area home was fine during the California wildfires, while noting that it had been without power for several days. He said: “My home is fine. I’m not in the areas that have been affected, but it’s been a weird time for so many that live down here.” This records his statement at that time; it is not an inspection or confirmation of the property’s condition now.
